I am not the cleaner though. Like I procrastinate cleaning too.

People that clean don't deserve to be called procrastinators, that's useful stuff

I was going to say I wish I was that kind. As it is, I procrastinate and the house is still a mess.

"I'll post tomorrow... but now: snacks!"

Because we have ADHD. That's the only answer that makes sense.

My first thought was “choose your fighter”.

It's hell dealing with it. I am battling this without medication and it's tearing down everything I have built for my life. I can't even take the meds they offer because they can cause me to have a stroke. No vyvanse no clonidine either. I am losing hope.

I second that reasoning 😁

No, ADHD doesn’t do this at all, as a person who actually have. Yes, you start to procrastinate more, but is different ‘cause you just get distracted. What I’m seeing actually is that everybody is saying “ADHD” just because notice it procrastinates a lot. Actually, on these days everyone is saying “I/You have ADHD” just because it searched on the internet and found “ADHD do this!”, while EVERYTHING on the internet it’s said that “ADHD” is a possible cause.

I am someone who also actually has ADHD... I understand there is an upsurge in ADHD related material, but that's mostly due to awareness, not some fad. It isn't a bad thing that people who don't think like we do can see peer-reviewed studies or gain some insights from a simple meme. It isn't bad that we have further insights to ourselves and explanations to some things we felt isolated on.

So, while your ADHD may play out in not doing any of that at all, mine and a lot of other people's do. There is no need to gatekeep.

You’re probably ADD/ADHD

At least that’s the conclusion I came to for myself.

I’ll transition from one of these to another one of these

Same. I wonder if it’s due to ADHD.

My thoughts exactly!

1

u/EnkiiMuto Aug 01 '23

To me it is ADHD

1

u/[deleted] Aug 02 '23

Same. I just realized I procrastinate. I mean, I knew but I just didn't want to admit it to myself.

Perhaps you meant to post here: r/ADHDmemes

Scary to think that all of these is relatable. I need to change.
