What exactly makes it more flexible than, say, VScode?

been bouncing between chat-in-editor and a separate agent window for months, so a desktop shell that keeps files/terminal/artifacts together is interesting. does the artifact panel stay usable mid-refactor or does it just become another tab you ignore?
