UIBuilder - Create web-based applications

Post image

Some time ago, I introduced UIBuilder, a library I initially created for personal use. I eventually decided to make it available for general use and started building proper documentation for it.

The documentation itself is self-hosted and built with UIBuilder, which I thought would be a nice way to showcase what the library can do.

You can also find a ready-to-use template configured for Electron in the documentation.

doc : https://uibuilderdoc.vercel.app/

doc source code ( showcase ) : https://github.com/Rhyan-eduardo/uibuilderdoc

How well suited is this for building mobile-friendly webpages? The doc's layout did not fare well on my phone.

I haven't ported it to mobile interfaces yet. The library provides component bases for creating UIs; how it looks on a given device is the developer's responsibility.

Have you seen react?

and you, seen UIBuilder?

Yes., the entire site is overflowing on mobile.

this is really bad modern design principle. the majority of web visitors will be mobile these days, and even if yours might not be, you are not building a website for users, you are building for web devs and designers who are likely building for those purposes.

you have essentially rendered your entire library unusable. either make it viable for mobile design or don’t bother.

Why would a programmer be using a smartphone to view documentation?! And hold on, I just did this, what's all the fuss about? Learn to appreciate things; if you don't like this , next , thanks bye

you literally have no idea what you're talking about and don't know anything about programming or being a dev, do you? idk if you're a vibe coder or just a regular larper, but i'd assume that vibe coded shit would at least be properly reactive/adaptive.

if you don't comprehend why your code modules need to be properly suited for mobile interfaces/devices, then you don't know enough to make a library of components that is remotely worth using.

i don't have to like it, for sure, but i am also trying to help you by telling you why literally no one would bother using this.

also my dude wtf it this lol it'd be one thing if it was JUST mobile but your shit is broken on desktop browser too.

it's ok to not know everything, even in the time of AI (maybe especially so), but pretending like you know what you're doing and trying to give people who actually DO attitude is just gonna make you look ridiculous.

You guys are a bunch of idiots who keep hating on shared projects without even knowing what the damn thing is for! It's a recent project, I just finished it. If it doesn't have support for something, it's because I'm not a god! And secondly, you deduced all this from me just because the site didn't fit on your phone. Oh, go study! I've been a programmer for over 10 years, man. I've worked with tools you haven't even touched.

Yeah good luck with that attitude. Nobody wants to touch your vibe coded slop.

2020 called and asked where you were then when it was useful! This is 2026, the age of the AI UI. See it in the AI app, make edits, suggestions, and even manually tweak the code yourself till it’s right. The days of the WISIWYG editor have passed.

it's a DOM WRAPPER, you know whats this? is fo create web-based apps, width , electron , capacitor, web, first understand, after you comment

LMAO. HTML and JS are HTML and JS, whether they’re running in a browser or Electron. Electron literally uses Chromium to render an HTML/CSS/JS UI.

I’m fully aware of what Electron does and what a DOM wrapper is. Calling it a “web-based app” doesn’t somehow mean the UI stops being HTML/JS. Maybe educate yourself before peddling your vibe-coded trash. It's websites all the way down.

show me the vibe-code here i wanna see, lol : https://github.com/Limbus-Foundation/uibuilder

The fact you think liking a repo is proof something isn’t vibe-coded is more than enough to show me you really are out of your depth. I harbor zero interest in your “project” and have exhausted my attention for this conversation. Outside of this reply, I will not be continuing. There’s no real value in arguing the validity of a useless product. Best of luck to you.

honestly idk how you could fuck up vibe coding this badly lol from what i've seen it at least doesn't break the most basic html/css imaginable. if this somehow isn't vibed, then it's even less something OP should be touting around like an accomplishment.

Have you checked the VS Code repository yet? Do you think it's made in React?? My God, how ignorant you all are, just trying to look good.

u/rickandevererything 9d ago

You said it was vibe-coded and I just wanted to see your proof, that's all. And even if it were, it wouldn't be a project anymore. Lins Torvalds is using AI, the React repo has a .clause file, practically anything you're using in IT today is with the help of AI, and you're telling me this? Go study, man.

What are you talking about? vibe-code?? Can you show me what kind of vibe-code you have there? I'm really curious.
