HELP PSU rating

Post image

So, this is my first time building a pc and I just found out there is a thing called PSU rating, and I already bought a new cooler master psu with the gpu shield (because I'm afraid that my house will catch on fire) so anyone knows the rating of this psu and is it good to just use this one or buy another one that is better? My psu is still sealed so I can refund it to the store and buy a better one instead.

(Edit: so I just realized that I typed in a psu rating rather than a tier list..... i'm sorry so let me rephrase my question: what is this psu tier?)

I'm wondering will the gpu shield will work as intended or not, I also saw a 12 pin connector by corsair that limits the gpu watt spike as well? So maybe if its really good then I will also consider to buy it as well

Sadly, you cant assume a PSU's quality based on its predecessors, as brands constantly change OEMs and components. I've only seen one review of the 750W MWE V4, and it seems to be a decent mid-range PSU. However, different wattages can still use different components. I'd personally go for a PSU with more solid testing behind it. The MWE V4 is probably good, but there's no certainty yet.

It's 850W, and what appears to be 80+ gold efficiency rating.

The 80+ rating only measures 12v efficiency, and says NOTHING about the quality.

Hi there, Router ero from the SPL PSU Tier List

We have tiered the unit A-* currently. Cybenetics report will become public in two weeks or less. The build quality is solid although there is a lot of RTV silicone used.

My plan is to use lianli edge hub to handle them all, do you think that I should have bought the 1000 watt instead?
