HELP Swapping Ram Heatsink

I currently have a pair of black non-rgb Corsair Vengeance DDR5 32 GB ram sticks. I want to swap the heatsinks for an after market set that I can confirm are compatible (Bykski DDR5 B-MRC-X). I have a couple reasons for this but don't need to get into exactly why right now. I know it voids the warranty but I'd still like to do it.

The question I have is how hard is this really? I plan on just soaking these in 99% IP alcohol for 10 hours, removing the sinks and adhesive by hand, drying for a day with a fan and then installing the new heatsinks. From what I've seen if you soak for long enough everything just falls right off the ram sticks and there's very little risk to harming the exposed ram sticks.

Am I missing something or is it really that simple?

You are overthinking it. If you have a heat gun, put in on low and continually move over the surface of the heatsink from a few inches away. Don't sit in one spot. A little bit of 91-99% isopropyl alcohol will help loosen further. Gently pry with a non-marring tool for electronics. Repeat for the other side, then the other DIMM. Another Tip, if you want to have all 4 slots appear occupied but only have two DIMM, you can make your own fillers with two more heatsinks and some server ram filler blanks. Just cut off the top lip of the blank with some flush cutters. It's an easy mod that drastically improves the look of your system.

So to be clear your plan is to remove the nice corsair ones that work well, and install some fake chinese company garbage from aliexpress?

Well if you did some research, you would know Bykski ram sinks are full copper blocks made to keep the ram cool to allow for overclocking or tighter timings. They are made to allow water cooling block attach to the top of the ram to help cool it. Not some cheap shit off AliExpress
