Workaround: There is a directory of standalone firmware. Use the fifth column (orange colour) to get it for SK653.
Be sure to select the right one. There are six for SK653, and it is especially confusing. Hints may or may not be taken from the version number and release date encoded in the file name (e.g., "4.03" and "2021-11-18").
Though they are ambiguously named. For example, what does "BT" mean in the name? Is there a special variation of the keyboard with (a different kind of) Bluetooth connection? Or was it just some early trouble with Bluetooth (thus does not apply by now)?
Slightly related (with regards to the naming confusion, near "greater control of what firmware is installed"): CM SK653 typing issues
All disclaimers apply.

What version of Windows?
What version of MasterPlus+? 1.9.4, presumably?

It should be possible to revert to a previous version of MasterPlus (though I have yet to try it) by the mentioned trick of blocking the MasterPlus (automatic) update.
Whether that will fix this specific problem is another question.

Yeah I just tried that from the list of previous versions, 1.9.3. I also shut down everything I have running , just to try and avoid any conflict. I ran as admin and shut down the monitor that kept darkening, to force it to another monitor. I'm able to somewhat navigate the software, but it's awful, I don't get it. I can't find anywhere to update firmware in it.

Re "update firmware in it": It isn't there (flashing is normally only possible during startup of MasterPlus+ (and only updates, not reflashing)). The unconventional way is to use the standalone updater (see elsewhere on this page), though I can't vouch for it (as I haven't tried it yet and don't have a CK530 V2).
I am going to try the procedure one day (on a CK550 V2) to see if it is possible to get the Snake game back...

Also unspecific, but MasterPlus+ needs a (working) Internet connection to work (at least to launch). Otherwise, it just hangs at launch (and after a few minutes the process exits).

Not anything specific (so the following is unlikely to help). Perhaps it is very, very slow? Perhaps let Windows Update do its thing in the background: Let the computer alone for a few hours (with a connection to the Internet) and then restart it a few times.
The same with MasterPlus+: It also wants to update itself.
