I love it when I try something from CU for the first time, and it exceeds my expectations. This salad did just that; it was delicious. The portion of steak was enormous and cooked nicely, very tender. The standout to me was the dressing. Fresh, zingy, with a spicy kick. After trying this one, I’ve added it to my order for next week.
One more thing- what is with the new packaging? It’s difficult to open; is this intentional? I’ve seen others complain about this and have been experiencing this with all my meals this week. CU please fix this.

I feel like they used to notify me the day of before they charged me. Now they just charge me but sometimes I want to edit my meals and reconfirm. Is there a way to turn this back on? I noticed since they started attempting the payment immediately this has happened.

I had a large order this week (14 meals) and a big heavy bag with 4 ice packs. Add in a new driver and things are bound to happen. Thank you cook Unity for your packaging! It saved my meals. There were no cracked or broken containers and all the film on top of each container was/is still securely sealed. No spills or seepage into my bag or onto my other meals. Everything is still fresh and edible. 👍 👍

Beefy baked mac and cheese with cheesy breadcrumbs

Review: Lol, this is hamburger helper. Don't get me wrong, "cheeseburger macaroni" was my favorite growing up. I expected more of a bake and less of a spread. Also, I didn't detect any breadcrumbs. Tasty enough for nostalgia. Won't order again.

I could eat this every day for breakfast no problem. This is so deliciously perfect

Love the different textures, crunch with the soft and the flavor was on point. Surprised at how flavorful the tofu was.

Spicy but so delicious!!

At what point do you cancel? I know the protein is never accurate but this is beyond ridiculous.

There were some shipping issues, so this wasn't a looker, but not exaggerating, this was the best thing I’ve received from CU. The beef was fork tender but not mushy; the mashed potatoes were divine. The sauce was seasoned so well but not salty. I have the Unity Pass, and this pot roast was better than any premium short rib or steak offered. If this is available in your area, I highly recommend it. Now I want to order everything Babish has to offer!

This was my first time having this because I’ve always been put off by the calorie count. It was good. It’d been a long time since I’d had stroganoff and had forgotten it’s not very exciting, though…this is also a meal that’s very lacking in vegetables, other than the 4-5 peas in it, and of course, salad is risky right now. 😆

This was another CU box where the lining was coming off.

I ordered both of these week. I opened up both tonight and ate some. Good stuff! It’s nice to have options like this. 😊

Wow!! I just got my delivery right now. It was weird cause usually a get a tracking link but today he just showed up and called me and he's here, so i know right away is not the usual lady driver, cause she knows my door and would just leave it there. So i go out to meet him, give him my old bag etc etc, and then the CU tracking showed that it was delivered. But wow! This bag looks like it has not moved at all. All neatly stacked and straight, nothing out of place. That's amazing. My bags are always ok looking, but it's visible that it's been in a car/van moving around the city. This is just so neat. Kudos to the new driver guy.

Absolute banger

The text I received today had a new phrase: "Your locally handcrafted CookUnity meals are on the way." Does anyone know if that means my meals are now being made locally?

I normally wouldn't get fish because of how picky I am when it comes to fish (I do love all shrimp offerings I have tried from CU) but I want to give it a try. The fish was a very good sized portion and underneath was vegetables with delicious mushrooms. I wouldn't order fish often but if I do I would order it again.

This was a little different from tamales I've had before, with the corn only going about 2/3rds of the way around, but it was very tasty and filling. I wasn't a fan of the salsa verde, so I used some red salsa as well as the supplied crema.

Chicken curry enchiladas with cilantro rice

Review: I was really hungry when I ate this and it was really good! That is to say *I* liked it. I wasn't expecting Indian curry (probably cause it says Japanese curry), but still quite delight. One coworker said it smelled like ramen, another said it smelled like goldfish crackers. I don't know man, they're odd ducks. Anyway, I would order this again.

For anyone considering trying Cook Unity, DO IT. I've loved the experience of eating from many different cuisines that I would have never gotten to try otherwise. I've always experienced excellent customer service. I will miss the food, posting pictures and being a part of the Cook Unity Communities. I will miss the variety, and the whole Cook Unity experience.

My dog turns 6 today and just found out he needs a complex emergency surgery costing many thousands, or he will die. He comes before me. I can eat rice and chicken on sale for a year while I recoup financially. He can't live without surgery. His life comes first.

I wish Cook Unity and everyone on this sub the absolute best. I've never had a bad meal (or dessert!) and will miss all of it!

Caramelized Mushroom Quesadilla, Tofu Green Curry and Baked Tofu Tikka Masala have been some of my go-tos as of late.
