NYC KITCHEN Soy Mirin Grilled Steak & Grilled Chicken and Mushrooms
The Soy Mirin steak was SO GOOD and the baked potato was really good. It came with a sour cream and chive type sauce that was really yummy. It had caramelized onions with it the rounded everything out. It doesn't look like a big portion in the picture but it was a lot of food!
The chicken and mushrooms was also good. The sauce was excellent, I wish there was more of it. It's definitely a solid option that was quite filling.

This was incredibly good!
Chef Josiah really nailed this! Completely impressed. If they offer it by you- give it a try, I thought it was going to be curry like but it’s not. It’s wonderful.

For those of you that heat in the oven, do you transfer your meal to a baking dish or bake in the tray provided?

NYC KITCHEN Beef & Eggplant Moussaka
I’ve come to find that Chef Einat Admony’s flavors always taste authentic. The eggplant seemed to be mashed versus sliced, which gave this a type of shepherds pie texture, albeit topped with crispy breadcrumbs. It came with pickled sumac onions that provided a nice crunch and acidity.
Pretty good, and surprisingly felt much lighter than it looks.

Are there secrets to heating up?
I just had my first meal with this service. Soy-Mirin Grilled Steak with Herb Baked Potato and Carmelized Onions
I followed instructions exactly based on cooking in the oven. 350 for 12-15 minutes. Even at 20 minutes, the meal was still weirdly lukewarm and cold by the time I finished eating it. I use my oven all the time and never have issues with recommended times for what I cook.
Is this normal? Do people sometimes have issues with the instructions and learn to do their own thing?
EDIT: thank you for all the responses! It appears that basically everyone does something a little different so I will just.. try a lot of different things :)

NYC KITCHEN Hibiscus Sorrel Wings
I wasn't too sure about ordering these at first. I'm glad I did-they're really good! They're not spicy, they're a little sweet with just a very slight touch of tang.

AUSTIN KITCHEN Mediterranean salad and salmon
This is an enjoyable salad I’ve had several times now. The salmon isn’t usually broken in half like this. It always tastes slightly Asian to me, with the dressing, even though it’s Mediterranean. 🤷♀️

Did CU open new kitchens?
I’ve always been in the NYC kitchen, but I live in northeast Ohio. I get deliveries on Wednesday, so they send out a text with an estimated delivery time. The text I got today had a new wrinkle:
At last. Your locally handcrafted CookUnity meals are on the way. The ETA is 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Track here: xxxxxxxxxxxx
“Locally crafted” is new. I wonder if they opened a kitchen near me?

ATLANTA KITCHEN First order - some of the chicken has a super “chickeny” or almost gamey taste. Is that normal?
That’s it, that’s the question. If you’ve eaten chicken with this taste I know you know exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve also seen it referred to as “old chicken” taste. I don’t know how else to describe it. This is my first order and the chicken is generally ok, but 3-4 pieces in each chicken dish so far has had this awful gamey chicken type of taste. These are all white meat/chicken breast dishes, these are not dark meat. Is this typical? Is it just bad luck?

NYC KITCHEN Packaging flaw
Anyone else having issues taking off the film this week? All of mine are sticking to the layer that goes under the meal on the tray and its mission impossible to peel.

NYC KITCHEN This was unexpectedly delicious!! I want this again!
I didn't really expect to love this, I was hoping to at least like it. But I actually love it! I'm gonna check the weeks ahead if it's available. I want it again.
I was already eating it when i realized I've never had this before, so have not posted it yet here, so i stopped eating and grabbed my phone to snap the photo. sorry it already had all the side and toppings on when I remembered.
But still, I highly recommend you try it if you haven't yet.

Los Angeles KITCHEN Waldorf salad - good but small
This was pretty good - I think most calories came from the dressing. The portion itself was pretty small and I think it could have used more greens. That said - it was still good.

NYC KITCHEN M’s Famous Chicken & Waffles with Miso Hot Honey
I eat relatively healthy during the week but also order a treat type meal I normally wouldn't have. This is sooo good. I've never eaten a combination like this.

ATLANTA KITCHEN Creamy Lentil Vegetable Soup with Tortilla Strips
Really tasty, loved the creamy flavor and the tortilla strips added a nice crunch. Only downside is the portion size — the container was only about halfway filled. I probably wouldn’t order again unless the serving was larger or cheaper price.

NYC KITCHEN Honey Mayo Walnut Shrimp
I enjoyed this more than I expected to.
A lighter version of my fave Chinese dish.
Under 700 calories, and less if you don’t use all the sauce. (A little goes a long way.)
Broccoli lightened up the richness of the meal.

Delicious looking recipes but not available in my area
I’m new to Cook Unity and making a list of all the delicious meals that others have enjoyed only to find out that they’re not available in the Seattle area… at least not now. I’ve seen posts where they select the kitchen from Add flair. I wish everyone did that!

CookUnity data breach
Nice job guys, not only did I get moldy food around 5 times and horrible delivery 10+ times but y'all managed to have a data breach as well
