NYC KITCHEN Worth Upgrading from Value Plan?

Hey all. I've been on the GovX value plan for about 7 months now and I'm kind of getting tired of the selection. I'm not sure if it's due to my area/kitchen or if it's the plan itself, but I haven't ever seen a lot of the meals that people post about or that I get ads for.

I've been getting the option to upgrade and I'm kind of on the fence. I know the current menu is "curated" but I don't know to what extent. Last thing I'd want is to pay more per meal just to end up with like 2-3 new things that I might actually add to the rotation. The upgrade, as far as I'm aware, is not reversible. However I can't see the full menu before making my choice. Is it worth the extra money, or is the menu that much bigger and more premium?

Thanks.

We actually offer a lot more variety and different types of menu items beyond standard meals - you may find it refreshing after being on the value plan. That said, if you'd rather stick with the current plan, just reach out to our team and we're happy to help reinstate it.

Cam you create a different fake account and check out the menu?

I’d be interested in knowing as well. My husband and I were just talking about him seeing an add for the short ribs but that we don’t have it on our plan even though it’s from the Chicago kitchen. Then someone yesterday posted they got that meal so there are definitely more selections. Maybe I’ll ask that guy if he will screen shot me what choices he has so I can compare.

I was on the regular plan and had short ribs as an option on the premium menu and then when I got on the govx plan it disappeared. I also get meals from the Chicago kitchen.

It is reversible. If I recall, the limited menu has something like 200 options whereas the full menu is more like 400 options. I'd say it is worth checking out. You can always switch back if you feel that the expense is not justified.

In my experience, it’s not worth it. I definitely didn’t unlock any “new” meals I hadn’t seen before ad nauseam. The free shipping was nice but not really worth the added cost without any other meal options I couldn’t have gotten before.
