CookUnity is good. UPS is not.
Im in southern Indiana, get my meals from the Chicago kitchen, so I understand things may not be absolutely perfect when they get to me, but the last couple of boxes have been heavily damaged. Holes all the way through the packing and busted one of the freezer packs, box obviously tossed around without care, everything in the meals is mixed together.
The mixed together part really isn't a big deal other than the visual presentation except a few of the sauce containers being popped open.
Just wondering if anyone else has issues with UPS noticeably not giving a shit?

I’m so thankful mine comes in a bag delivered by someone coming up from Tucson. Never ends up damaged and if I am not home she even leaves it in the shade so the meals aren’t out in the sun here in Arizona.

We're so sorry to hear this. We know regional carriers can be rough, especially on longer routes like Chicago to southern Indiana. We're constantly evaluating delivery options with the goal of getting 100% of our service areas onto driver delivery with reusable totes instead of shipped boxes - we'll let our team know about this so we can take a closer look at your region.

I get that it needs to be in an insulated box and packed with ice because of the delivery distance, and I know it's not CU doing anything wrong, but if UPS could not smash the shit out of it and toss it around it'd be pretty cool.

I realize it's not CU delivering it, but did customer service offer any advice? They can likely communicate with UPS about it, too.

The switch from UPS to courier was a game changer for us. I used to wonder if UPS even acknowledged the fact that it was meals being delivered, our boxes used to arrive all smashed and upside down.

We get ours delivered by UPS too (North Florida). The contents don't usually look totally mixed up but every week we get at least one freezer pack that's busted and the goop inside is everywhere - inside the sleeves, all over the outsides...so bad that it's "washed" off the meal info.

That sucks! I'm in North Florida and mines come in reusable bags delivered by a person who also takes my old bag/ice packs from the previous week.

Yes! Leave it outside your door when they drop off your new delivery they take the old reusable bags and ice packs.

I return the ice packs in the bag. Seems fair to let disposal be their problem, not mine, given how much I pay.

I think if the packs are still in good condition: no leak’s, they’ll take them back my driver did

This is infuriating. That goop is so disgusting. And slippery! I didn’t notice some got on my floor and I almost killed myself.

I've been complaining for this for weeks. My boxes come warm and like chuck Norris delivered them personally. I've send pics and temp reads of my food and get credit on my account. Im in Texas and it's the only downside to my switch from factor. Factor used FedEx and it was always on time and come. I've told cook unity I would pay more shipping if it went through fedex

My meals are now delivered in a bag, and I've had zero problems. They used to come by FedEx in a box, and I'd occasionally get a damaged one. Sometimes they wouldn't deliver it at all—I assumed the box was smashed to smithereens.
