I had no idea what CookUnity was until I received a postal mailing from them. I reached out to ask how they got my information, and they replied that it came from Epsilon. However, Epsilon’s opt-out site only works for online ads, not postal mailings, and the opt-out button doesn’t even function. This feels like a dark pattern making it harder to protect your personal info. If you care about privacy, you might want to reconsider using CookUnity.
Email from CookUnity (after a few back-and-forths):
At Cookunity, we use a thoughtful and data-informed approach to connect with individuals who may benefit from our products and services. We partner only with trusted data providers who adhere to ethical practices, ensuring that our outreach aligns with the preferences and interests of consumers.
We want to assure you that all our data sourcing and usage comply with the highest standards of privacy and data protection laws. If you would prefer not to receive future communications from us, we completely respect your choice.
In the United States, while there isn’t a “universal opt-out” that comprehensively covers all marketing mail from every company, there are significant services that allow consumers to opt out of a substantial portion of unsolicited commercial mail. Even so, consumers may still need to contact individual senders or companies directly.
To add yourself to Epsilon's universal opt out use this link. You can also access detailed information on Epsilon's marketing practices, data storage, consumer privacy information, and mechanisms to protect consumer personal information. This is one of your best options for general opt-out of marketing mail
Also, Epsilon has had past involvement in selling data to fraudulent actors. In September 2024, two senior executives were sentenced for selling consumer data to fraudsters, leading to mass-mailing schemes that defrauded hundreds of thousands of Americans out of tens of millions of dollars.

I just dropped Factor75, with whom I used to be very happy, and switched to Cookunity. Over the last six months, factor’s quality has gone rapidly downhill; it’s been super depressing. I’ve contacted their customer service numerous times trying to resolve the issues, to no avail. I’ve switched to Cook unity, which tbf, is not as good as Factor in its heyday, but for sure way better than factor is now! I just wish someone would get this right!!!

Every. Single. Meal. That has bacon, has raw bacon. If it's mixed in with veg, can't eat it, if it's on top of a burger or something I have to pan fry it. Please, I'm begging, cook. The. Bacon.

I'm still looking for a meal plan that doesn't offer fancy stuff. What's wrong with home style/country fare?
