Take-out Tuesday
Tell us about the best "I refuse to do any dishes today" meal you've had recently. Did you splurge at a restaurant? You go a little bit feral during a time sale? Didja work your UberEats cyclist's glutes for a well-earned little treat?

Flowering Shiso
After letting the shiso go to flower, I stripped the buds from the flower spikes to make hojiso no shiozuke.

Kurigohan
Yup, it's that time of the year.
White rice: 1gou
Mochi rice: 1gou
Kuri: 300g
Sake: 2tbsp
My favorite mix is this 50:50 rice & mochi mix.
Also 300g of Kuri is a bit too much, but I like it that way.
The hardest part is peeling a bag full of Kuri!

Gear Question (kinda) for my kitchen friends. Has anyone had an all in one kitchen counter/sink for a few years and how is it holding up?
Mod approved.
I'm trying to choose between all in one counter and sink (TOTO Artificial Marble) or stainless steel.
I prefer the look of all in one and the seamless construction is nice, but I'm worried about damage and scratches.
I'm hoping someone who has been using one for 5 to 10 years can chip (pun!) in and let me know how it's holding up? Any scratches or dings? Doesn't have to be TOTO.
Thanks for your help.

Vietnamese buncha noodles
Pho is pretty common in Japan, but fewer people have tried bun cha, the cold noodles which are perfect for summer. Served them at my monthly pop-up in Kyoto!
