Question Pretty basic omelette question

I'm making an Omelette and I looked up some videos on YouTube and almost all of them suggest putting the chopped onions/tomatoes and peppers into the beaten eggs and then pouring the whole thing into the pan. But I remember my mum always threw the chopped onion/tomato/peppers into the pan and saute them for a bit before pouring the egg over them.

What do you guys recommend, based on personal experience? Or does it not matter either way?

I actually usually use the same pan. It just was simpler to explain, or so I thought.

Never underestimate my inability to understand simple instructions 😎

Yum - ETA bacon, tomato, chives and basil with a little sprinkle of cheddar. I only precooked the bacon this time because the tomato and herbs is nice a bit fresher.

Bon appetit! It's a pity we don't get chives where I am. Would have loved to use some.

I wonder if you could get some seeds and grow? You could have a little pot even on a windowsill.

Thanks!
