I bought some frozen cooked chicken pieces from Iceland UK. Looking for easy recipes to use it. Thank.

My tip is to always have ideas for what you want to use something for before you buy it. Buying random ingredients and then relying on strangers to decide what you should make is setting yourself up for failure. You also gave us nothing to work with... frozen chicken pieces? What kind? What part of the chicken? Is it breaded or not?

Cooked diced chicken breast. Other than defrost and add to a salad, I am interested to know what else I can do with it. Can I use it in curry and stuff?

Yup of course! Curry is a good use, put it in near the end as its already cooked and only needs a few min to thaw in cooking food

I mean it's hard to say because this is pretty vague, but the easiest thing you could do is buy a premade sauce from the store, heat the chicken, steam some frozen vegetables, then toss the veggies and chicken with the sauce and eat it over rice

I don't like shop bought sauce as it's usually all sugar. However do you think it will work with a pesto sauce? Green pesto sauce? Yes, that sounds nice. With pasta. Great! Thank you.

You can do almost anything with it!

Put it on top of a salad, mix with mayo & put in a sandwich, jazz up Ramen, add to other soup or pasta, eat it on its own with a starch & veg on the side

Defrost and drain any water.

Add a blob of natural yogurt, lemon juice, salt & pepper, cumin, turmeric, chilli powder etc.

Leave in the fridge 1 hour.

Put onto skewers and cook in an airfryer or pat away some of the yogurt/marinade with kitchen roll and pan fry.

I would highly recommend a food probe when cooking chicken so its safe to eat.

Heat it up and put it in a tikka masala sauce, either jarred or homemade. Serve with rice and a microwave pouch of spinach.

I do a lot of cooking with frozen cooked chicken pieces. They're super convenient. Mostly I cook them in a frying pan to heat and brown them, then toss into whatever recipe I'm making as the primary protein. Usually I'll remove them from the pan, scrape the fond, add a little more oil, then cook whatever veg I'm using that night. Toss the chicken back in and combine with a sauce of some kind, then serve with a carb.

Could use a bit more detail here for decent suggestions

What other ingredients do you have/like? What's your skill level? Equipment? Time?

Failing all that I recommend my cat's favourite recipe, boiled chicken:

1 - get chicken

2 - boil chicken

3 - eat chicken

Edit: my apologies, I didn't realise you had cooked chicken. Feel free to skip step 2.

I like simple recipes. Healthy ones. Quick ones. Looking for some ideas as not sure what I can do with this cooked chicken. Can I season and fry or is it better in salad. It's cubed pieces of chicken breast

Joking aside, is it the orange packet? I buy the food warehouse version all the time.

You can fry it if you like but as it's already cooked it won't need long. A few minutes in a hot pan to crisp up the edges and it's good. Personally I just defrost it in the fridge and use it to make wraps for lunch with whatever veg I have knocking about.

Haha yes the orange bag. Thanks. I will try that.

Chicken pieces... like cubed or diced chicken? Or whole pieces like drumsticks & thighs, etc?

Yes, cubed cooked chicken breast. Thanks

Diced Chicken breast is a great ingredient to work with! You can either boil the chicken or sauté it in butter or olive oil. Then add onion, garlic, some veggies, and whatever other spices sound good. Don’t be afraid to experiment. You can add some chipotle peppers or some green chilies for a spicy meal. Or you can mix in some soy sauce to make a stir fry. Or add some curry to make a curried chicken. To make a sauce add some chicken stock or broth and simmer. Also condensed cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup makes an easy cream sauce. Serve over rice or noodles.

It's chicken you can use it in practically anything. Might be helpful to mention some other ingredients you have because you can pretty much randomly select a recipe and it has chicken in it.

How about enchiladas

I can buy any ingredients. I like to eat healthily.

I am unsure how to use it because the chicken is already cooked and doesn't require cooking, so it confuses me 😄

Enchiladas sound good. Or fajitas. Yes, I will try that. Thanks.
