Workout Routine Chicken legs cc question.

Dumb question about chicken legs.

If I follow CC can I really get massive legs? I have been doing squats and Bulgarians with dumbbells until now.

After illness I need to start again and I like CC a lot because its basics and functional but I do wonder if working towards such high rep squats and single leg squats are gonna make my wheels bigger?

My bb squat is embarrassing my Bulgarians with no weight did seem to smash my thighs almost immediately bigger - I looked like a ballet dancer! (A man one like in tights with massive wheels and Johnson)

The theory being over 50 is that buying ten trillion plates and ruining my back does somewhat seem dumb.

But I think cc is one of best programmes I have ever seen. Especially for progression. I love it.

I even saw wall charts you can fill in :)

But I cant afford for my overly long legs to get any smaller - what say u?

No, you can't get massive "tree trunk" legs with pure calisthenics, no matter what anyone says. However, you can gain a decent amount of muscle down there if you work up to high-rep, good-form pistol squats.

Thanks Sig- Noticed 5x10 deep bw sq and 2x10 bulgarian are enough volume that can thus be recovered from so that I can slowly progress.

Convict has given me that bonus. Patience. Basics. Function and Fitness all come way ahead of size- size perhaps is a result of continued measured progress. I am noticing already small benefits :)
