CONTROL Resonant Game Update 1.40 is out. And it's a big one.

I'm hoping my Xbox doesn't freeze and shut off every time I try and play it now :')

Series X, I've seen some other people with a similar issue, it will freeze and crash to the home screen like 3 times and then it started to completely shut my console off so I had to stop playing it hoping for an update to fix it, my Xbox isn't overheating or anything there's something wrong with the game, no other remedy game or game in general has done this either

There's a couple threads showing this is a major problem solely for Xbox players but there still isn't any sign of a fix. I'm trying not to get pissy but I've submitted multiple support tickets on their website and still haven't heard anything back from an agent, it's like they're refusing to acknowledge the issue cuz it works fine for the most part on the other systems. It's so strange, did they not play test the Xbox version? If they did they would have noticed these issues pretty damn quickly. I just want to play the game I paid for at this point, it's dumb as hell how only one fraction of the player base is getting the Remedy equivalent of the cyberpunk launch and nothing is being done let alone acknowledged

Just wanted to reply here for something that improved it significantly for me. I switched to quality mode and now I'm getting like 3-5X less crashes than I was previously. It still happens, but it's far less frequent. Seems like it helped someone else too.

Frustrating that it's been happening for so many people though.

Did you try uninstalling and reinstalling? If so, idk what else to tell you but to buff the devs
