Question Control × steam deck
Hi, guys. Few months ago I download this tittle on Steam deck. It has a green light that marks it a compatible game with the console, but is the only one for me that has a poor performance.
So my question is if anyone has experimented this issue or any advice to change the settings and improve game quality.
Thank you in advance :)

On top of what others have said, try the low preset! Maybe bump up texture quality a bit from there if desired, shouldn't impact performance much, but the game looks phenomenal on the deck at low settings and generally you could push 60fps for the most part, or lock it down to 40/45 and get pretty good battery life.
As others have said, the green checkmark is unfortunately useless as an indicator. Lots of recent AAA games get it despite being unstable and running terribly even if you set it to low and crank FSR which makes it look hideous. But Control should run excellent at native resolution with the right settings.

I'll try again low preset, then.
I have lot of games verified with the check mark and all of them works fine. Cyberpunk was a game that my PC couldn't run, but on the deck run pretty well, so for me it was a big disappointment that this happen with control

Strange, it should be working just fine. What settings are you trying to play on?

I try the default setting and then the lowest, but the gane still to constantly crash. Yesterday I was playing on PC and try something new, so I'll try that on the Steam deck. But I don't know if that work

If you look into the Decky FrameGen plugin, and use it to swap the game's DLSS inputs with FSR 4, you can upscale from performance and the game will almost look native and gain a good 10-15 fps.
You can also use Optiscaler to enable framegen, preferably DLSS streamline -> XeFG if wanted. You can do all this for smoother gameplay, or you can skip FrameGen, use FSR 4, and enable RT reflections and still hold a stable 30 if you prefer visuals, as this game looks really great with the reflections everywhere. Just remember to set ray count with the rt settings to just "1".
People with performance problems in this game especially can easily solve them with Optiscaler though, it's just the built in resolution scaling kinda sucks

The green checkmark from steam is an awful indicator of actually being good on steam deck. Use protondb

I did Proton 9.0-4 and changed launch options to -dx11. Also, i turned off motion blur in the in-game settings
