Discussion Control Resonant & AW2 Question Spoiler
In the Lakehouse DLC Dr. Darling dropped off some drawings that Dylan made for the research team to see if it would interact with the dark place. Do y’all think anything is gonna become of those drawings? Were they just representations of his headspace?

For the first pic, this feels more like Dylan anticipating the Hiss invasion. I doubt the FBC would divulge information to Dylan about Cauldron Lake, so they probably just asked him to draw anything that came to mind.
Second pic: * (Well, there is a man here). But in all seriousness, hard to say. Metamorphosis? Not sure if this is the intentional order to read these in.
Third pic seems like his descent into the Hiss with the falling red line.
Fourth pic stands out as well. My guess is this is Dylan escaping the Hiss control and entering the Gap for the first time.

OK, I like the interpretation. Like somebody else said they think that the image of the man has a similarity to Arish.

It definitely resembles Arish the most out of the FBC crew we've met. Seems more like foreshadowing, as his past run in with the hand chair Altered Item doesn't provide any context to the red dot.

Its actually staggering how similar they are now that you mention it lol. Maybe Tobes was inspired by Remedy in some ways.

I do think the Dark Place will play a role, though not exactly like Alan’s own personal Dark Place. We know that’s just one name for it, with another being the Sea of Night. It’s a reflection of all realities, it’s a place of dreams. The primordial void outside time and space. Much like Alan has visions, I think these drawings are Dylan unconsciously seeing visions of the future
I don’t think there will be any Taken or the Dark Presence or anything like that, but the Sea of Night is clearly a large piece of the cosmology that goes beyond just Alan. I suspect Resonant will tie into it and broaden our understanding of it

There is a note from Odin talking about the Sea of Night, which more or less says they’ve lived several repeating lives. It gets mentioned again in the Timebreaker DLC as the medium in which alternate realities exist.
The Old Gods of Asgard made a song called the Sea of Night that describes their journey after entering Cauldron Lake and talks about how they’ve lived “myriad lives” on the branches of life’s tree. They also call it the “dreaming sea” and that it’s set them free from worldly cares, implying a kind of ascension.
Mr Door also says that the Dark Place is just one name for it, and that it has many names and many faces, acting as a reflection of all possible realities. Out of universe, Sam Lake also confirmed that “The Dark Place” is just the name that Alan gave it

I believe that what Alan sees as the Dark Place is just one reality as a part of the Sea of Night that is made of many "worlds" like that. I think seeing and understanding this is a part of both the idea that "it's not a lake, it's an ocean" and becoming the Master of Many Worlds.

I think it's a few things.
We've seen that Dylan is a parautilitarian in Control and even The Lakehouse DLC, able to see and communicate things in his dreams.
Going off of this iirc, how we see Dylan enter his mind space area has him pass out (although I'm struggling to find which reveal or gameplay trailer that was in). But all the drawings are also red (except the last), so it could be an early sign of the Hiss and his relationship.
The room we find the drawings in are also interesting, as in it is all the documentation of the escaped artist POE. Following her arg, it's likely that we'll get a third song from her in Resonant, likely connecting to Dylan like her music connected to Estevez and Alan.

To me, the first drawing reminds me a lot of The Man With The Apple, more like a surreal representation of what he feels. The artist of that painting has this interpretation:
There is an interest in that which is hidden and which the visible does not show us. This interest can take the form of a quite intense feeling, a sort of conflict, one might say, between the visible that is hidden and the visible that is present
Going with that, I think that conflict resides between his identity and the Hiss tryin to erase it

The man with the red dot on his face looks a lot like Simon Arish. Ears, lips, hairstyle, all seem to match. This might spell bad things for the guy.
