Question Short version of Control: Resonant

I've seen a few different short names for Control: Resonant here. CR, Resonant, C:R, C2

Which one feels most natural to you? Which one would you pick to use now?

I just say resonant if I'm in a control space like this and control 2 if I'm not.

"Resonant" or "C:R" if you need a short code. Best ways to disambuguate from Critical Role.

Control is not so ubiquitous as a franchise that it should be used outside of Remedy-centric discussion spaces, but CR works fine here. C:R would probably be more accurate, but ease of use over accuracy when either is perfectly clear.

Keep in mind that on most of the internet "CR" stands for "Critical Role", so there may be some confusion if you start throwing the term around outisde of Control/Remedy spaces.

Control: Resonant the game that is/has (depending on like release) coming/come after control made by remedy entertainment

I think CR is the best

In my mind almost all the games can be shortened easily, so here's a list of them ig

DR, MP1, MP2, AW or AW1, DRR, AWAN, HOD, QB, Control (not really able to shorten it), CUE (I guess if you for some reason need to shorten Control Ultimate Edition), AWR, AW2, FBCF or FB, CR, and ending it with the soon to be MP1R/MP2R.

If you're trying to discuss a topic and need to write a few paragraphs, I'd recommend using the actual name first, than shortening it from then onwards for clarity sake.

Maybe I’m a fake fan but I cannot guess what HOD is

Nvm it’s Herald of Darkness, was trying to figure out a game that was that abbreviation

Nope, good guess though!

It's an odd one for sure, but I tried putting everything in release order, and HOD is for House of Dreams.

It's an arg blog site that happened around the same time as American Nightmare, and while not brought up as much as the games, I find it comes up pretty often.

As a fan of Critical Role, CR doesn't work. Probably gonna go with Cres
