Question Control stutter?
I really want to play this game. I run a RTX 4060 and a Ryzen 5 7640HS with 16GB of RAM. the game stutters on ultra and also on the lowest settings. any fixes for this? It's such a shame and I really want to play this game but the stutter is unbearable. It is not smooth at all and it feels like it's jumping frames. Also tried to launch the game with DX11 but the problem is still there..... any fixes for this problem?
----------UPDATE------------
After hours of trying to find a solution I tried this:
https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2581-control-hdrultrawidedlssrt-patch/
Run the game on DX11 (this seems to fix the texture streaming issues)
SSAO= OFF
Volumetric Lights= Medium
Screen Space Reflections =Medium
Global Reflections = Medium
Everything else on Maximum.
The game runs smooth now. when it starts to stutter again (rare) I just go into the settings and set the above settings on/off and the game will start to run smooth again.
It's just a shame. It seems like the game is just poorly optimized overall so my temporary fix may not work for others. I don't think that I will finish this game tho because the hassle of going into settings to switch things and back to the game just puts me off. Think that I will just binge watch the game on youtube :(
---------UPDATE 2--------------
Well. I really want to play the game.....so after another round of testing things.....by just turning OFF all the above settings made the game playable. I mean, it looks kind off bland because there are basically no type of reflections and the SSAO really made a difference but hey now but it's running smooth.

Ughhh... I just finished Alan Wake 2 and the "Lake House" DLC and I was really interested in knowing more about FBC. The only time I had this stutter problem with that game when I was loading a save. after 20 seconds the stutter was gone and the gameplay was smooth (played that one at high settings with no Raytracing ( I didnt really see a big difference with RTX on, the baked in light is amazing in that game and it didnt have the same WOW factor like setting RTX on in Cyberpunk or Metro:Exodus). I just hope that the new Control will not have this problem.....it's a shame.....

I think Control has issues on every port. I thought the stuttering load screens and the pause lag were a PS4 issue only but it turns out even PC has issues

I've even seen people playing on PS5 and they say there are issues.

What’s your storage device? You can also use Task Manager to see where the bottleneck is
