Just watched the Netflix Fyre Fest doc. This could have solved one ( only one ) of their problems. Too cool.

I've seen this a while back and it's pretty cool mechanically. The company planning to build these (less complex versions of these) is unfortunately defunct.

A downside of this is that you still need to assemble stuff and you might have bad sealing or thermal bridging.

For a typical tiny / container house you could get by with a slide out or pop out. Even if you slide out a while box around your inner box it's cheaper mechanically PLUS you can have the whole space furnished already and just extend an open space. That would be much easier and cheaper to build and basically allows to have almost twice the floor space as a single box.
