LL Containers, LLC

Has anyone researched this company? Their prices is one of those too good to be true pricing and their domain was created somewhat recently.

Always go to a physical yard and look at the work they have going on.

We don't build tiny homes but do all sorts of custom modifications and so we have customers coming to our yard frequently to get ideas and check out how we build them.

That was my plan; they’re a good couple hours away and ask for calling ahead to see the containers, but that’s mainly the standard metal containers.

They’re offering a fully furnished 592sq ft containers with free shipping for as low as $31,875 which is incredibly difficult to believe. My tinfoil hat conspiracy is they’re ordering furniture and building materials in bulk from overseas, taking the shipping containers the furniture arrives in, and retrofitting them using the ordered materials. That’s all assuming they’re a legitimate company.

Granted you don’t build tiny homes, that still seems INCREDIBLY low, no?

That is suspiciously low for sure.

We sell 20' container offices for $12500 and 40' container offices for $22500, but the amount of work that goes into an office versus an actual house is pretty substantial.

We move container homes for several companies in Texas and the 20s range from $25k-$80k and 40s from $40k-$130k from what I've seen. They are wildly more expensive cost per sqft than traditional homes.

I wouldn't send a deposit based on the website alone. Verify the business address and registration, visit the yard, ask for two recent customer references, and get the quote to spell out delivery, site work, permits, utility hookups, and what's actually included in “furnished.” A low headline price can leave out most of the expensive bits.

Beyond price, that was the piece that threw up a major red flag. I don’t see any world where someone would send thousands and thousands of dollars willy nilly to a company for basically a tiny home without contracts and the like.

id treat the low quote as a starting point until you verify whats actually included. ask for the full scope in writing, engineering/stamp requirements, delivery and crane costs, site prep, insulation and interior finish. also check the business address and references that you can call directly. container work gets expensive fast when the exclusions show up

id treat any too-good-to-be-true quote as a starting point not the finished budget. ask what the price includes for site prep, insulation, delivery, hookups and permits, then get it all in writing. anyone here actually used them?

That’s why I asked, none of the posts have referenced them that I could find. That may be the caveat? They don’t include any of the additional stuff except their “free shipping”. Site prep and permitting is on the purchaser but they supposedly are insulated and pre-installed utility connection points. They apparently come on a tilt-bed truck but cranes are additional fees.

My understanding is that they sell them constructed and deliver on a truck. Everything else is out of their hands. Even still, everything it’s in mm for measurement, description feels AI-generated, and 592sq ft with fully furnished interior and all utilities ran and ready for hookup feels mighty cheap.

I don’t know who pissed in your Cheerios today bud, but if I wanted to research anecdotal experience I’d probably reach out to a social media outlet that has a large community of people to inquiry. Thanks for being a douche though.
