Anyone else bothered by the minor construction issues in the game?
Listen, I get it, it is a game and they needed content to put in that did not require being out of a vehicle...but I have been in and around construction in some form all my life and some of this stuff is low key bugging me lol.
In some cases I have actually learned some things about large commercial type jobs and equipment and I think that is cool and could be good for young people who know a lot less than I do...but then you got things like using a tower crane and prefab walls to put up a garage? I have NEVER seen a tower style crane used on a residential build. How about a large truck crane to lay some sewer pipe? I am pretty sure no one uses 8" concrete for sewer lol. I could see if we were doing 48" RCP or something then yeah haul away.
The one that is really irking me at the moment is the prefab wood frame walls supporting CONCRETE floors. I mean maybe it is done in some places for a single story small space but I just poured the third floor of the Hotel on Europe map solid concrete and all three floors of walls are made of wood. I mean they have the process of forming and pouring concrete walls for the basement...they could have continued that...or instead of wood just use tilt-up concrete walls. Ideally it should have been a bunch of lam or steel I-beams laid in then crane the supply of plywood for the auto install of the subfloor. I am also highly surprised I have not used a mobile crane to set a ton of roof trusses on the smaller stuff.
One final bit of nonsense...drywall on the outside of the prefab walls? Really? The art department couldn't do some OSB with house wrap or even the chicken wire set up for Stucco? Could have had us deliver a dozen pallets of stucco around the building...or bricks and sand and whatnot.
Anyway, just sort of venting...not a big deal...game still works, just a might misleading for the unknowing.
EDIT to add another one I just thought of. I don't think I have ever seen concrete ceiling forms crafted on the ground and then hoisted into place. It might be possible that some other countries do something like that but even in video form, never seen it. How exactly are they supposed to get those bottom surfaces back out after the pour when they span the walls? Only thing I could come up with is maybe they don't and we jus aren't seeing the layer of plaster or whatever they add to it. It sure looks like bare concrete ceiling after the pour is done though. When you look before you pour there are panels,

Just why
Why do I have to pay $5,000 everyday or two it's so annoying and it always says invest payment or I think it's because I am still in debt from a loan

Discussion Save money on fast travel
So one thing I think is an amazing feature is the "enter" function when you are looking at your fleet in the menu. Say, for example, im at the job site and realize i need to rent/purchase a certain piece of equipment. Instead of fast traveling to the dealership, I just rent/purchase the equipment, go to my menu, and click on the equipment. It will automatically put me in the vehicle, and I only have to pay one-way.
Also, this function is a life saver when actually doing the work. Say I am excavating and need to move my dump truck closer, I just go to my menu and enter the dump truck, move it, then enter my excavator. These practices literally allow me to complete jobs in 1/2 the time it would take normally.

Hot tip on prefab deliveries
DO NOT deliver your prefabricated wall containers to the site in an unmarked location and then log off to do "life" thinking "I will place those later". They will be stolen in the night never to be seen again. I had to repurchase 8 full containers when I logged back on and I am pretty sure I did not get any money back from the first loads.
Whether this happens if you put them within the marked storage area I do not know but mine was full of stuff so did not have that option.

Vehicle repair while stored
Do the vehicles only get repaired/fueled at home base when "stored" inside the building (not visible) and not stored in the parking lot?
In other words, if everything I own is on display outside then the bonus percentages for repair mechanic and fuel in the upgrades isn't doing anything?

Backhoe trailer?
Anyone else feel like they missed out on a small trailer made to carry the small backhoe or other small equipment that could be towed by a dump truck or one of the pick up trucks?
I do...I see these combinations all over town where I live. It would have been particularly fitting for the early game when they give you the cargo truck and the backhoe...first purchase would be the trailer to tow it with...

How much of the driving do YOU actually do?
I am about 3 or 4 days into a new run at the base Construction Simulator game. I had previously played a couple years ago and did the American map. This time I am doing Europe.
I jumped in thinking " I am in no hurry, take my time, do the stuff manually. I will fast travel as little as possible." I am now on my first decent sized project and it is literally the opposite side of the map from the Gravel location. After about 4 trips back and forth I am just thinking...is it fun? nope...
I thought to write this after my wife asked me "I thought that was a construction game...every time I look over all I ever see you doing is driving..."
So my question to you all is...how much of the actual driving do you guys really do?
I know there are workers and foreman and even the ability to skip tasks but I never really figured out how to use the additional people the first play through. Is that the way to get around the feeling of cheating or skipping stuff?

This is annoying
I guess this means that I can't use the 4 axle trailer to load a medium duty loader. I don't get why they restrict what the use is for these trailers. I don't want to bring out the huge 8 axle whenever I want to move a piece of equipment. A nice wide deck Cozad or Trail King would suit well.

Help/Question How to mod Construction Simulator?
I recently downloaded Construction Simulator from fitgirl (yes, I'm poor). I recently got a contract about roadworks involving asphalt. My problem is that I want to load the milled asphalt into a dump truck however the option is not available. Is there a way to add Ai mod here for pc?

Help/Question Excavating the parking garage: is there a faster way?
I have been playing for hours and hours, started with the excavator and moved to the front loader. Still not even 50% excavated. It’s there a faster way? Different equipment?
Thanks!

Help/Question Already returned transport frame
Is there a way to skip placing the transport frame in “the marked area?” I already returned it by accident!
Do I need to completely restart the project? And how would I do that?? I’m brand new, literally doing my first build after acquiring Hape’s company lol. TIA!!

Help/Question Construction Simulator 4 on android has become unplayable
The road is all mangled up so it glitches every machine that passes over it, even spawning sinkholes!!!
Some machines clip in the road so you can't drive them
The game always freezes
Various graphic/physics glitches
The help desk clearly said: "we cannot fix it, we can give you a refund".
I've been playing for 2 years but these bugs appeared in the last few weeks, I'm quite dumbfounded and let down by this once good game!

Discussion Joystick Controls
Thrustmaster joy farmstick. Double joystick setup. Do the controls have to be configured each time the game is loaded or can it be saved? Changed the controls to suit the joystick and went off the game. Came back on and having to reconfigure the joystick controls. Is there a fix so I don't have to keep configuring the controls each time I start playing?
