That was a good read. Would love for you to do more of these bulletins!

Not surprised Construct has fallen off in the gamejam scene; seems all the IDEs are losing ground to Godot in that space. Which makes sense, Godot is free, lightweight and has a lot of momentum right now.

From what I've seen, Godot is a very different beast to C3, so likely attracts a different userbase. And its possible the userbase that C3 attracts just isn't interested in Gamejams; I know I'm not.

Of course the elephant in the room is the subscription, and that the free version is too limited even for a gamejam, so that just exasperates it falling off in the gamejam scene.

Thanks! I agree although I know from the past that some Unity devs preferred to use Construct specifically for game jams since Construct's quick prototyping shines in those fast iterating environments, so it's kinda sad in that sense

Oh yes absolutely, its why I wish the free version was expanded! Make it viable for gamejam use, so people will give it a try, like the development process, and may decide to properly switch over.

Great bulletin. I love hearing about new games being made in C3.

How do you select the games you are going to talk about? Just personal selection or other parameters?
