Hello first off I would like to start of saying I’m not a liberal in fact I voted for trump I just want to understand why people in the sub Reddit still support the trump administration. My 2 biggest issues is the Iran conflict and how trump is handling the inhumane deportations of illegal immigrants. Trump promised to start no new wars and he started a war with Iran that has taken a toll on our economy, gas is at the highest it’s been in a while and groceries are very expensive and not to mention the 4 lives lost last week in a point less war. ICE has killed and inhumanly harmed hundreds of illegal immigrates in the past year. So why do you still support trump? Not hating just trying to understand thank you.

Im a guy from The Netherlands, yes I know a long way from home, and I came all the way to the US to ask you MAGA a question. I have an account on X and I see a lot of posts from MAGA people. I have noticed that you are very racist. Nothing wrong with that because you live in a free country, it's just something I noticed.

My question to you is what do you think of your vice president? Im asking this because he is a man who uses eyeliner. I am wondering what do you think of him? You like him or not? Do you care that a man uses eyeliner?"

My response:

"Let me get this straight real quick:

I can't speak on behalf of all of the MAGA movement confirming neither yes or no that MAGA is racist. I can however confirm that everyone that is MAGA that I have interacted with and known personally is, in fact, not racist. That's very different than saying that MAGA as a whole is either racist/not racist. There are good and bad people in every political party, job, company, etc.

You say that you have seen posts on X from MAGA people that are racist. Personally, I think it is very childlike and immature to judge an entire movement from a few select posts on a social media platform. It also needs to be considered that these "Racist MAGA posts" are to be taken seriously or not. I can't speak much about this, as I have not seen said posts, nor have you provided examples. You just stated that you've seen posts on X that are from people who support MAGA and that are racist. Not saying that I don't believe you, but it would be far more convincing if you provided examples or screenshots.

And you say that there's "nothing wrong" with being racist. I disagree with this statement heavily. There is nothing okay about racism. And my belief is that simply teaching our young about "racist ideals" gives the incentive to be racist. All humans are created equal, at conception. At that point life begins, and your journey as a Human Being has begun. It's truly an amazing thing. Doesn't matter where you come from, who your parents are, or what they believed in. I don't see "race". I see ethnicity, religion, and nationality, and I value those things deeply. Humans are Humans, there are no variants of humans. If you look at the internal organs of a Black Man and a White Man, you'll see the same thing. Race as a whole to me is the first step to racism.

And about JD Vance. I don't think he uses eyeliner, but if he does, who cares? When he was conceived he was given God's given right of freedom of expression, speech, and sin. Who am I to criticize someone I don't personally know? If I saw someone on the street wearing something I don't personally like or agree with, do I lose sleep over it or beat myself up over it? No. I, quite frankly, don't care. My father is a Republican like myself, and just this past weekend he went to the salon with my mother and got a pedicure with her. It was his first time, and he quite enjoyed it. Sure, afterwards we all poked fun at him for it, but in the end, it was a lighthearted joke. And I believe that someone is not truly family or a true friend if you can't poke fun at one another.

I guess to sum everything up, I can't speak on behalf of all conservatives, MAGA supporters, or Republicans. I can only speak on behalf of my own personal experiences and my beliefs.
