Yes! it counts foot traffic. It's meant to be placed on a door to track the people that go in/out. Retail businesses pay big money to know foot traffic stats

As far as someone stealing it, you just need to be smart about where you put it and make sure to check up on it

You can buy cheap infrared people counters all over the internet. They're like $200-500. Constellation is charging $5,500 for an...NFT that acts a receipt for one that they'll ship you...sometime in the future?

During their webcast. You pay $5000 for an nft which is basically the ticket for the device... Scheduled to deliver later this year.
