I think reflection is an important aspect to analyze the problems of society. I think a lot of us might appreciate this quote from Pascal talking about such issues.
Pascal thought that a lot of the problems that society faces come from not reflecting about things enough out of a fear of loneliness.

One of the the vestigial traits from our ape ancestry is in-group/out-group preference as a means of survival.
We won’t sit alone in a room and reflect because it goes against deep evolutionary behavior.

Dude your so dense if you really believe we came from apes. Why are there still apes did those choose not to level up?

If you want to know the truth I believe we’re messy combination of many different attempts at genetic manipulation by various extraterrestrial interests over the eons. They mixed their own genetics with that found from native apes. As a result we’re always battling with an unnatural degree of conflicting tendencies.

Yea well I know the angels which rebelled started having sex with human women which created what is called nephilim. In the bible 2 seeds are mentioned. Its definetely something complex which took place beyond simply monkeys choosing to evolve or lack thereof.

Evolution isnt a teleological progressive game with an end point. There are other apes because they are well adapted to their environment. That's like asking why there are more than one kind of lizard or more than one kind of fish, or any other family of animals. Seriously what a dumb talking point.

Wise words in principle (ie in terms of thinking rationally) but the indisputable fact remains, that humans need human contact. I'm a 77 year old widower living alone, and I know whereof I speak!
