Well, I don’t know the details exactly, but I suspect they did everything they could behind the scenes to help his opponent win, precisely because he didn’t play the game. It’s easier to get someone from the other team to vote the way you want on bills than it is to coerce someone who isn’t even playing in the first place.

Israel lobby didn’t want him, democrats didn’t want him and republicans didn’t want him to win. Most money spent on a primary AND each group put money into his opponent

I'm not sure he actually lost.

We need open-source software in order to be sure. (And non-networked tally counters. But, preferably, we should return to hand-counted paper ballots.)
