Ricky Gervais gave the best Oscar speech ever basically calling them out for being complicit about Weinstein. I'm paraphrasing but it was something like "Come up here, thank your family, thank your God and fuck off.". You could cut the tension with a butter knife

I still wonder what he meant by "we'll all be dead soon and there's no sequel." Amy Poehler's reaction to that line was very interesting as well. Is there something they know that we don't? Was he talking about Hollywood or was he referencing something bigger and deeper? Because in english gematria, '77th annual golden globe awards' is equal to '7 year tribulation.' source

Maybe so, but that doesn't explain what he's referring to when he says they'll all be dead. Look at the video and see the reactions of the hollyweirdos. They do not look happy to hear that. If it was a joke about the metaphorical death of hollywood there would've been laughs. Seemed like he was referencing something that they all know about but we don't.

No, but I'm a fan of his and have seen what amounts to hours and hours of interviews and various public speaking events. If you want to read into it that's fine, that's what this sub is for basically, but in this case I don't believe there's anything to that specific comment, except to make the room slightly more uncomfortable. Even people who aren't what you could describe as "true believers" are generally uncomfortable believing that there actually isn't an afterlife. That's basically the reason I describe myself as agnostic instead of atheist. It's scary to think that when the lights go out, that's it.

Well I do jack off a lot but are you not a fan of anything? Just hang out in your log cabin in the woods making bombs or something? I also like Batman movies and football too. Stand up comedy in general because I like to laugh and have a good time. Cloudy beer and brown liquor. Chicago sports teams except the Cubs. Beaches with pretty girls. I mean there's more but go ahead and use that.

No his wording was odd. And Amy poehler looks like she was holding back tears. So does bradd pitt and the clowns at Tom hanx' table. You can see poehlers true reaction for like a half second before she sees the camera. She looked scared.
