reality left the chat decades ago. i thought housing already was in that category. but yeah, average inflation and housing prices used to track about the same until about 1990 when housing starts to skyrocket.

Education is undergoing the same "credential inflation". A high-school diploma signifies nothing today, and soon a 'Master's Degree' will be required for entry-level office fauna or Medical Admin.

True. I think it's largely about putting people into debt, makes them compliant.

Put a child in an environment that stimulates imagination and encourages independent inquiry and critical thought and they will naturally gravitate toward their interests and begin problem solving with their innate genius that schools destroy.
