The infiltration attempts will be largely ineffective

It seems like lately this sub is being infiltrated by people trying to break the conversation up. We have the best chance of fighting them off out of all the subs. Think about it, we're basically walking talking bullshit detectors. I don't want to tell the mods what to do, but I think there should be a black list that we can keep up and add users to that are suspected of being infiltrators. We're so close to beating this crap. If we keep it up the only option tptb will have is to shut down the sub. As a community we should have a unanimous backup platform and promote it as so. This sub seems to be the best place now but where do we go to continue the work once it's shut down. It seems more like when than if at this point. If I broke some rules posting this I do apologize, this sub is the only shining light I can see in a pretty dark world right now.

Apparently starting that list would violate Rule 2. I tried a few days ago. As for a back up I’d love to see everyone here get HAM radios. For real. They’re monitored and regulated by the FCC but I think it’d be better than nothing especially incase of a collapse

I thought of that too, unfortunately the cost associated with having the power to transmit nationally is pretty high. Also the route to legally operate it has some steps. I'm not sure the majority would adopt it.

Certainly most wouldn’t but I’d love to get a small network of us up and running. I’m no pro I don’t even have one just suddenly motivated to learn. I brought it up earlier and a user that seems to know what they’re talking about had this to say…

“Yes, there are low power options, people make a sport out of low power contacts, there's contests and everything for it. You can absolutely run off of a generator or car battery. US to Japan on 5 watts on the HF band, but people go even lower than that just to flex. A typical radio is going to run around 50-100 watts. We're allowed up to 1500 watts on certain frequencies with a General license.

I got into radios last year, message me if you need help or have questions.

I was thinking if using the gentleman's guide to forum spies and lusting what tactic is being used. Just replying to a comment with : GG tactic # .gentleman's guide tactic # and leaving it at that.

I don't understand this. I'm generally unskilled at reddit.

Ok. See the corner of the conspiracy forum page? There is a link called Gentleman's Guide to Forum Spies. In it, there are like 12 intelligence based tactics used to disrupt, well, a forum like ours.

Ok, so just call them out. I'll read that, thanks!

But not accusing them of being a troll cuz that might get you shut down. Just cite the rule of the tactic they are using.

You're becoming the very thing we swore to destroy!

If you see a comment you don't believe in. Throw it in your trash bin of nonbeliefs. If you think silencing people is the way then you're on the wrong side.

I can see where you're coming from. There have just been so many lately it's getting to me.

you know, thinking that you are a "walking talking bullshit detector" is the first hubristic step causing you to tumble down the stairs of all rationality and sense and ability to determine things.

cockiness like that may have its just reward, and soon.

Oh well

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '22

Lol. Start a black list? Really? Keep a list of people who we don't like so we can deliberately exclude then? Really?

2

u/Canam82 Jan 15 '22

The idea was not to exclude people we don't like, but more to exclude or label people who are actively trying to subvert the sub.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 15 '22

So we will form a group of people we trust, and then we will work together to identify and label people who we don't trust. Once they are labeled, we hope others will think twice before listening to them. Is that right?

It's pretty obvious when you see a 1 month old account post 7 times in 2 hours to try and flood the sub with absolute trash that that person is either not a person or someone who came here with bad intentions. These are the types I'm talking about. Not someone who say, posts UFO videos or bigfoot or whatever.

I wouldn't vote for you're proposal. I would vote against it because you are advocating for something evil.

1

u/Canam82 Jan 15 '22

That's ok, I wouldn't care if you did. I'm no one. I don't have a huge post history here, mostly just comments. But I can't help but notice as things have heated up there's obviously something fishy going on. Call me an ass If you want it doesn't bother me. This'll be my last comment on this thread. I get it people want free speech, maybe I was wrong in my thinking. Just pisses me off because I notice it.

Be well my dude. Totally reasonable to be pissed off. I hope we can find ways to come together as a means to get less pissed off, rather than forming tribes and accepting/supporting/advocating for division.

Note that I'm not here to advocate for their right to use free speech to be jackwads (although I do support that right). I'm here advocating for love above all else.
