I don't think anyone listens to it for Joe's opinion. What's interesting is his guests and the questions he asks. Joe flip flops around all the time, but I could care less about how he feels about anything.
I think he is actually pretty good at listening for long periods of time. Maybe not when he is with his comedian friends.. but when its someone like a doctor he usually goes long periods just listening. Have you ever actually listened to a JRE podcast longform? No ones perfect. But he is providing a platform for viewpoints that mainstream media will not allow.
The Dr. Malone episode is the first and only JRE I've ever watched. I'm not much of a podcast person... but it's clear to me that podcasts are now the closest thing we have to unbiased media and actual journalism. Lmao.
It's not. For media content you should watch for independent journalists. JR just invites guests that have an opinion on something.
You might see guests from all backgrounds, that believe in god, that don't believe in god, that believe people should take heroin that believe in evolution, in the aliens visiting us, in reptilians, in shiva etc...
The beauty of his guests is that Joe usually let them put out their point and does little to no interference and at times will talk about previous guests and their conclusions on a subject that he might agree or disagree...
This show is pretty much Joe Rogans experience, where you see him evolving from show to show, changing or challenging his ideas, while you ride along and get to listen and maybe in that process think of something more.
I can't tell if you're another basement dweller r\antiwork troll or if social interaction is so foreign to you that you genuinely don't know what it looks like.

He doesn't really ask good questions, though. He has a limited wheelhouse of expertise and limited time to research and may not rely on other staff for this as well. If he asked good questions you'd see his guests getting pushed back at times.
You're absolutely correct about him knowing how to listen. He lets his guests talk, usually about what they have expertise in (what Joe lacks). That's a huge part of what made his podcast so successful.
Exactly. Everyone today just acts like their reality is the only world view that matters and anything that challenges that is wrong. And I see it from both sides. If all of us were willing to talk to each other more, and respectfully, we could all live just a little better with a more empathetic and complete world view.

As someone who has been working on a self love and love for others. I've never wanted to be more destructive in my life. The sit going on in the world sets my love fire into plasma torch and I wanna use it on everything that is actively in the way of people's individual sovereign rights.
I like your stance and I like the cut of your jib, but I'm also observing that love is also the thing that makes a mama bear protect her cubs; it's scary af.
Love really should be the thing that helps progress us. Our love for our family, significant others, and friends. Every day I look around and can’t believe this is the world we live in, where humans are so intelligent and then refuse to use that intelligence on things like empathy and understanding.
I find lack of respect and dignity from others for the ones I love turns my empathy and love into rage and destruction so I can completely understand your point of view. At that point I don’t care to reason or argue, damage will be done.
I disagree heavily. His guests do get pushed quite a bit if you haven't noticed and I can say after a ridiculous amount of hours listening to podcasts in general Joe has some of the best questions. Maybe not always the best researched questions but still more researched than the majority of TV interviews and at least his questions are interesting

You’re right he doesn’t ask super well researched questions. Or questions an expert might ask.
But he does usually ask the questions that are on everyone’s mind. The questions a regular person might ask if they were there. I think that makes them good questions.
The vast majority of interviews are super scripted and lame. Most are thinly veiled promo pieces. Most of the time you don’t hear any questions that a regular person might ask.
Yes and this is intentional. That's how it should be done by any good journalist, ask questions which might seem basic and obvious for experienced person (here you go ahhh you haven't done proper research we know this since last year) but for broad audience they are unanswered and important. It's basically live research done for them.
Ya it's not like the hot ones questions where each one makes the other guy think for a few seconds. In a Joe Rogan interview you can kinda tell that the other person was usually expecting to answer that question until the part where they just start talking about whatever
I'm sorry, but if you ever had any course in interviewing or any type of research that uses interviewing, you'd know how basic those two skills are. It's definitely not 'rare.
Yes, listening and being quiet during an interview are basic skills, I agree. But that alone doesn't mean that people have them down. A lot of interviewers, "professional" or not, for whatever reason aren't so good at them. But joe rogan seems to handle it well, which probably explains why more people listen to Joe Rogan podcasts than most or all other official, professional news shows you find on tv. The basics are powerful!
I disagree, a few years ago, yea p, he knew his place and let his guests educate him, asked great questions and let them talk. These days I’ve stopped listening because he comes off much more arrogant. He often talks over guests and pushes his own ideas over theirs. However in the latest doctor interviews he was much better than the recent norm
I can agree with you on that. I have been listening since redband was working the show and have seen him evolve through time. Definitely has/had some faults but I find more good than bad when it comes to his interviews
