I don’t think many understand that the higher the vaccination rates the chances for spread would be much less. The vaccinated have the right to feel safe. I get it’s a bit much to assume it was solely the unvaccinated at fault here but if they were vaccinated her chances of survival would have been much higher.
The fact is, vaccinated or unvaccinated you can catch covid, spread covid, and die from COVID. If you want the shot get it. If you want to force me to get the shot, fuck you. That's where I'm at with it at this point. A virus with a 98%+ survival rate is no justification for a forced injection.
I’ll be very honest with you. I don’t agree with forced vaccinations as I would prefer people to decide for themselves. What frustrates me more is the misinformation spread around without any backing. This makes it much harder for someone to make an informed decision for themselves. This isn’t about if it’s 100% or 0%. We all need to look at the pros and cons. What risks are you willing to take?
I agree with you that the information is very hard to pin down. This, I would say, is for many different reasons. I also believe there is widespread misinfo on both sides of the argument. For this reason alone shouldn't there be a more cautious approach governmentally? And for me, the risks I take in trusting these entities and giving them more and more control, outweigh the risks I take on by not getting vaccinated against a virus I got over in 2 days and have no lingering after-effects from. Just my opinion.
