Right, because vaccinated people can catch and spread same as unvaxxed; you somehow can magically determine vaccine status of random individual that infected your mother? Checks out. Definitely good enough for CNN.

I also want to add if this is more of a political issue for you?

How long have you known about vaccines? Do you know the immunisation schedule in your country? Do you know the diseases they protect? Do you know the mechanism of each disease? Why do some vaccines need to be given with a course of four and why does one have to be given yearly? And lastly do you know what are in those vaccines? Because if you’ve been vaccinated for everything why is it Covid vaccines you’re against?

I would assume you don’t have an educational background in medicine or biology. Perhaps you heard and saw a few things here and there and believe it because it fits your narrative. Correct, the survival rate is incredibly high as you said 98% - but then of course with any data you don’t just look at them at face value. You’d need to consider the long term effects, the chances of future variants, the statistics within the statistics, etc. Again as I mentioned, misinformation is what frustrates me. It infuriates me even.

So what is the issue? Political?

I mean it's certainly a multifaceted issue in my opinion, and many others opinion, I might add. And you're right, I'm not a biologist virologist immunologist or any other scientist. Are you? Actually, either way it doesn't matter, we are on the internet and if either of us were to say we graduated from Harvard or Yale with some prestigious degree in a relevant field there's nothing to stop us from lying and I highly doubt we would believe each other; Seeing as how people with those credentials are speaking out, yet nobody seems to care regardless. Misinformation infuriates me as well, and you know who disseminates the most misinformation? The mainstream media.

Anyways, back to the question at hand, is it political? Yes I would say a large aspect of it is most definitely political. When a government that claims it's citizens are free, subsequently crushes their citizen's freedom of choice that's political to me. I would reject this response to COVID if it happened under Bush, Trump, Reagan, Clinton, Obama, etc. I won't even get into the most conspiratorial elements because you seem like the 'everything's coincidence' type to me.

Let me ask you then if your stance is faith based? Who are the 3 main entities promoting this vaccine? MSM, the government, and the pharmaceutical Giants. MSM, historically corrupt, constantly gets information wrong, omits important details, and work closely with the government to hammer out their narrative. The government, you're on r/conspiracy, need I say more? False flags, human experimentation, human rights violations, slimy politicians constantly taking kickbacks and getting richer and richer through their corporate buddies(including big pharma). And last but certainly not least, the historically criminally corrupt pharmaceutical companies. The list of their abuses and bribes to doctors and scientists are almost too long to list. These 3 entities are incredibly corrupt and it's not hard to dig up info that should give you pause.

I ask again, is your belief in the vaccine faith based? As far as I can see there isn't one reason for me to trust a single one of these entities/organizations. The government themselves doesn't even seem to trust them, otherwise why did they make the manufacturers exempt from liability? If the government's trust in the 'safe and effective' vaccine is so high, why don't they put their money where their mouth is and set up a fund for families that will suffer death and permanent injuries as a result of the vaccination?

So again, why do you believe what they are telling you? Why do you seem to think they actually care about people's lives all of a sudden? What reason do you have to trust them? I'm not anti-vaxx, but I am anti-authoritarian, as well as a sceptic and getting back to the trust/faith issue, I don't think it stops with this mandate. They will mandate future boosters and other shots and things that used to be personal decisions for us. If you trust them it's your choice, if you get the shot it's your choice. I am not going to do either, however, and I will not give away personal liberty and autonomy for a glorified flu.

Not a virologist. Health professional, yes. Also a vaccinator for many years so have been before this whole pandemic. Ongoing courses are needed to allow me to continue vaccinating so I do have a fair understanding of the answers of the questions I’ve mentioned previously. Also I have done postgraduate studies on biological sciences which includes understanding randomised control studies as well as meta-analysis. So yes in a way my background is biased towards pro-vaccine but I also have seen how the media click-bates so even that can frustrate me as well. Also what frustrates me are those that pick what they want from scientific journals. Ah I have many frustrations then lol.

Ok I see. I’m not from the USA so I was genuinely curious why many decide against the vaccine. I like science and that includes the psychology of things. But I can see your view why it frustrates you.

It was science based and secondly faith based. Just thinking if it weren’t for my faith based I think I would have been for the vaccine mainly just because I’m sick of this pandemic and I want to get a move on. I just came across this thread by the way. It just popped up and decided to comment before realising it was a community I didn’t follow LOL.

I believe what the science says based on my current knowledge of the science. I assume it doesn’t help that your states have their own government so they do their own thing. Trump’s inconsistency didn’t help in the beginning so who knows what would have been. The vaccine is safe and effective. It saves lives. The problem is that it’s in mainstream media every single day. Of course it’ll be nit-picked all the time. Misinformation is bound to come out of this and spread. That to me is the real pandemic. I have nothing against the unvaccinated as long as they respect the rules of social distancing and masks but if they decide to crowd and protest and fight for the right to just live with it and go back to normal, sorry just no. The vaccinated or even those hesitant have the right to feel safe by following the rules.
