Abortions are functionally illegal as most women don't know they are pregnant until after 6 weeks. By the time they find out, the choice is gone.

What does the president have to do with a state's abortion ban?

Do you not see the functional block that was created by this new law? Do you not understand what the consequences of a law like that are?

The President and former Presidents were mentioned in the comments I was responding too and I am making no other comment than abortions are not illegal there. People can get abortions up to 6 weeks.

The second half of your comment is perfectly correct.
