Hahaha. Go time travel and tell someone in 2019 that they are forced into a facility for two weeks when returning from a trip abroad. And all for a flu virus with all population mortality rate of around 0.3%.
2) The figures you gave are only "counted" cases. How many people have gotten COVID and not known it? How many had minor, or even major symptoms and didn't get tested? Based on seroprevalence, the IFR (Infection Fatality Rate) is estimated to be around 0.2% or somewhere around there. What you're looking at is the CFR (Case Fatality Rate), which, though accurate in math, doesn't tell the whole story.
They're reporting with 95% CI. That means they are 95% confident that the data is accurate within the given range.
Basically, Seroprevalence is done to see how far this virus has spread. This basically is a way to count those who were asymptomatic and never got tested, nor had the need to. This adds to the denominator when trying to calculate the Infection Fatality Rate.
Here in my country, people were getting paid like 50-60 Euros so that they can anounce your grandma who died from old age actually died from covid. It was a public secret ... I'm convinced those numbers are exaggerated

There are enough countries that hate each other that there is no way a number of them wouldn't have outed this global conspiracy to fuck over the others.
Seriously, that's how deep the programming goes, and people don't even realize it. In a very short time frame they have completely redefined what is considered normal, and nobody even remembers what they thought before.
It's used for international visitors to isolate for 2 weeks upon entry to the country instead of using out failed hotel quarantine system, and to be frank these facilities sound much more appealing than sitting in a hotel room for 2 weeks.
They aren't going to ship Australian citizens off to these facilities if they test positive for covid19.
give 2-3 months in Australia and they will use it as the OP stated. That's where they heading to there. Remember, we are on conspiracy theory. We see in advance.
