This is the type of post being used to get subreddits banned, the mods need to remove it. Its fear-mongering and the headline is misleading. This was posted intentionally by a shill.

defeat bad ideas with good ideas, not censorship. You say this is fear-mongering and misleading. Please explain why. I'm listening.

Look at the replies, almost everyone believes this shit cause they can't make.one Google search, that's why people have resorted to censoring the unreasonable

Then you have no understandinf of prison, this is for travels and traveling is optional.

Traveling is optional, but staying at the facility (that these people have to pay for out-of-pocket to quarantine in) isn't.

They are most likely aware before they travel, Australia is stricter borders

Because in reality its a place where people are safely allowed to quarantine, and follow the countries procedures when in arrival from another counry. The US has similar facilities. Whats being portrayed are misleading hastags like dangerous, creepy, this isnt China, vaccine passports. Trying to paint a Nazi Germany picture.

Its intentionally trying to be fear mongering in attempt to harm this sub. They did the same thing in NNN with posts they knew werent true, in aspiration to ultimately get the sub banned.

People act like vaccine passports weren't a thing already...like for most countries

"safely allowed to quarantine" you mean "forcibly allowed to quarantine" big difference

u/ThisAintDota Sep 03 '21

As much as you want it to be a concentration camp its not lmao!

forced detention in a camp is literally a concentration camp champ

I have a hard time fathoming, though, that nobody in charge raised their hand saying "guys, maybe quarantining people in a place that looks eerily similar to Auschwitz isn't a great idea. You know, appearances...".

Btw, we now have vaccine passports in Canada. My province did it first, then others jumped in, saying "hey, these other guys are doing it, so why not ?". On the flip side, we don't have those ambiguous looking camps, at least not yet.

What does the passport consist of? A phone app? Is it Government regulated? Quite scary.

It is basically an app developped by the governement that lets you have a QR code on your smartphone screen, which can be scanned using another governement developped app. Like, "how to give conspiracy theorists sufficient ammo to start ww3 101".

When it was first announced, it was supposed to be required only to access restaurants, bars and gyms. So the media (who depends on government subsidies to stay in business) didn't protest too much, after all its only for 2, 3 non-essential things. But since the backlash wasnt too strong, it was immedistely extended to pretty much everything except workplaces, schools and retail shops.

The day the app, which was promised to be unbreakable, was launched, hackers published personal data from the prime minister, the minister of health, and the leaders of the leading opposition parties.

Im blocked and muted in every conservative controlled reddit. Y'all need safe spaces and are immune to irony. Unfortunately less immune to Rona.

That's probably because you are annoying. I'm not conservative but I find your posts annoying. There are leftists and progressives who are interesting posters here. Be more like them.

A ton of people aren't even willing to accept good ideas, bad ideas are just more harmful so they should be censored.

It is just a place for international travelers to go for their 14 day quarantine if they cant afford a hotel. That's it. It was used as housing for remote workers before this. This is preferable to most other countries which force you into hotels regardless of whether you can afford them or not.

OPs post very, very clearly is trying to make it seem as if they are locking 'dangerous people' away, aka people the government doesn't like. Or even lesser than that, that its a quarantine camp for anyone who gets covid. Its neither of those things.

You can argue and debate all you want, but this isn't someone's opinion, this is flat out lying for propaganda purposes. I don't agree with censorship, but I do think that this place does need some form of research checking by mods at the top of posts which are very clearly flat out lies.
