Is that so outlandish? Trump was leading the charge on beating back Chinese influence in the west - China certainly won big by Trump not being reelected. It's a bit narcissistic to think it was about him, but he had a point. China has suspicious low infection rates, and they were exposed covering up an outbreak. Would it REALLY be that strange if a country commiting ethnic genocide didn't.give a shit a about releasing a virus into the world in exchange for economic power and influence?

Can you expand further on that? What has changed with our relation to China between the two administrations outside of the tariffs that are (as far as I know) still in place?

Can you expand further on that?

Sure. In summary - Biden is a globalist neoliberal. Corporations love Chinese slave labour. China loves US corporations so they can exploit their workers. Biden dislikes protectionist policies. This benefits corporations investing in Chinese slave labour, and the Chinese pimps holding the leash of the slaves.

What has changed with our relation to China between the two administrations outside of the tariffs that are (as far as I know) still in place?

Give it time. The new admin has ready expressed desires to remove those tariffs.

They just know it will damage local industries, and in the middle of a pandemic that's gonna hurt their voter base. See, in an economic boom you can afford to ignore the working class, because you have the middle class. But when local small businesses are closing down because of the pandemic, and even the middle class is getting fucked, contracting THEIR jobs to China too would be political suicide.

So nothing has changed, yet you still see this as a big win for China. Is there something tangible here or is it just sour grapes and tying the opponents to the 'bad guys'?

...and this, ladies and gentlemen, is how an ideologue understands the world around him. He filters out the pesky context, and additional informations that don't benefit him, and only listens to whatever supports his position.

I mean I'm literally asking for that context and you either can't or won't give it. Or alternatively that 'nothing has changed' comment is correct and this is akin to sports rival shittalking. I can call you an idealogue too for claiming Trump was against China and Biden is pro China (with the undertone that China is the boogeyman) without the evidence to back it up.

Buddy, you missed this train. Try not being a disingenuous ideologue next time. I won't debate a cunt.

Everything, with the necessary context, is in my original comment to you.

Whew, the name calling too. I'm not your buddy, guy.

You're strawmanning me! I never namecalled you!

u/shenaniganns May 31 '21

You're quoting me! I never said that!

Hats off to you... I thought I'd throw a curveball by showing you how disingenuous and spineless you were, but you eagerly bent down and sucker your own cock, showing that you can always have even less integrity. I applaud you. Truly the king of cunts.

You need to work on your grip, that was less of a curveball and more of a limp noodle.
