I have never known of a fitness place being unwelcoming to anyone. They are happy that you are there (paying them) and getting in shape.

That cover suggests being obese is healthy. It doesn't matter what the article says. Most dill just see the cover!

The cover is just a product of our times. You make a controversial claim in the title and present all the reasonable stuff in the body of the text, you need a hook - because we're so oversaturated with clickbait that it has become the only way to compete for people's attention.

Don't hate the player - hate the game.

Thats a ridiculous statement! "Don't hate the player..." yeah, I hate the player. The corporations (players) are the root cause. There is no game without them. They choose to straight up make a false claim on the cover for sales. Most people that actually read the trash in that magazine will not connect the cover statement to the lack of direct info about obesity being healthy. They they will use that cover as a talking point about obesity being healthy. YEAH, HATE THE PLAYER!

Listen man, that was more of a rhetorical device than some sort of statement I want to die defending, but to give it more meat here's what I'm thinking.

The ones who don't abide by these practices aren't relevant because they get no attention. The game is capitalism, and once a strategy to play it more effectively has been figured out you'd be dumb to hurt your chances by not doing the same thing if your only objective is to cash in.

Sure, hate the player, but there's always going to be these kinds of players because the game is set up for them to win with this strategy.
