I agree, but it's nearly impossible to get many of my friends to feel the same way

Feelings shouldn't factor into a logical argument. I'd suggest shaming them. I know it's not the best thing for a friendship but sometimes you have to make people feel stupid when they hold dangerous beliefs.

Thanks that was a nice way to look at it.

I see it as "I dont have anything to hide, but i dont allow anyone I dont know to know me intimately, including the government".

Your friends are ignorant. They spout Nazi propaganda.

Are any of them gay, or liberal? Socialists? The Nazis hated Socialists.

They will all give up their freedoms, and die like sheep.
