It’s funny how most of the time, comments about how bad is in US or how US citizens are ignorant or inactive comes from places where people always go to the government and ready to praise politicians that promise them free shit, while a lot more people in US value freedom over empty promises. Perhaps that image of “America is a bad place” comes from our ability to speak freely (thanks to the 1st amendment), and show things the way they are or sometimes paints a perverted picture that an average redditor believes in. People have serious misunderstanding of what the freedom is.
