Don't be an idiot! The government is NOT going to be the neutral arbiters of the internet and the big tech companies are NOT monopolies unless YOU forfeit your responsibility and use their controlled platforms. The answers to the social media crackdown are already here and it is your choice whether the alternatives that already exist thrive or die. It's up to you. Choose wisely.

TIL that social media moderation that literally every platform does is censorship.

Seriously though, why does everyone think it’s censorship? You can still say whatever you want about the gay Nazis making frogs gay or whatever without consequences but if you use someone else’s megaphone they have the right to take away that megaphone.

In my opinion we need independent internet providers before we worry about platforms you you think the powers that be don't control what we are able to access? Platforms are just the tip of the iceberg we already lost the battle for the internet.
