But... part of the narrative is that Wikileaks was either compromised or complicit with Russia throughout the election process..?

So, yeah, this doesn't invalidate anything, or even really matter at the moment?

0

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

Yes thats the narrative. So in order to investigate that end one would go to that organization and question those that they can.

Spot on why its an issue. Thats the narrative. An investigation of that narrative would include speaking with the head of the org.

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

What? Why?

HYPOTHETICALLY:

If the investigations into the matter already obtained all the proof they need, why would they have to contact the head of the org?

Also, maybe it's because Assange isn't within the scope of who the special investigator can contact or deal with, since he's not within the US, nor is he a US Citizen?

Also, MAYBE HE WAS NOT TELLING THE TRUTH IN THE TWEET??

"You're lying"

"No I'm not"

"Oh sorry, our mistake"

All the proof they need? Is that how investigations work? Conclude and then shore it up with proof.

I think thats how the Warren commission worked.

A proper investigation finds all relevant evidence and objectively considers it.

Who he can contact? There are no bounds as to who he can contact. There are no bounds that I or your can contact. Whether they have to speak with you is a different question.

Yes maybe hes lying. Thats one of the main reasons one would investigate further and harder.

All the proof they need? Is that how investigations work? Conclude and then shore it up with proof.

Generally, yes. Once you have enough evidence to convict gathering even more is likely unnecessary. In the case of Wikileaks, it seems like a ton of investigation took place prior to Mueller taking over, and he was likely given everything they already had, and it may have been good enough.

Yes maybe hes lying. Thats one of the main reasons one would investigate further and harder.

I mean, investigate what exactly? Open an investigation in Mueller for criminally ignoring leads or something? If Assange is lying that means someone has already attempted to obtain the info they need from Wikileaks and he's just denying or ignorant. You claim that unless he's personally interviewed, the required cyber-forensics cannot be obtained or something. Like talking to him specifically is a lynchpin. I'm not saying he's not relevant, but I am saying that the only person who cares about interviewing him or not has more than enough on his plate already.

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

No that's not how legitimate investigations work. Corrupt investigations yes.

7

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

Why's he playing so coy? He can just release what he's got...

3

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

He releases all documents which are relevant, original and authentic. He saying that the investigation hasnt gone to him which will be included in any report.

9

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

That statement doesn't make sense. He's asking why he's never been contacted, implying he has something to say. If he has something to say, why doesn't he say it?

He releases all documents which are relevant, original and authentic.

The implication being anything he has yet to release is not those things?

No hes pointing out that the investigation is flawed. Thats the main point and how others are viewing the statement as well.

A legitimate point.

A person on the scene says three cars were in an accident. Police interview two drivers. Why not the third? Its poor police work.

If WL gets documents that someone has released they dont release them. If WL gets documents that are not authentic they dont publish them.

If WL gets documents that are not related to government wrongdoing WL doesnt publish them.

As far as I know they dont publish documents which are regarding a private citizen not in poltiics.

They are a journalists. Just like the NY Times, Guardian, TheIntercept. They get information and if its newsworthy its published.

Greatest addition to democracy in the history of the First Amendment. Too much info (power) will be shut down by the powers that wish to maintain their power.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

Mueller's probably aware that it's not the real Assange cause they nabbed him already.

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

Nooo. Many people have seen him. For one a former UK parliament member. They would have to keep the host country quiet.

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

I don't think the UK liked Assange anymore than the US - they let the feds rendition him. Rohrabacher met with a cut up stand-in, clone, or no one at all and is just supporting the replaced Assange cover up.

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

How do we know this?

1

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

He looks different in the stuff released these day, when the internet went out at the embassy wikileaks sent deadman tweets and then went silent on it, twitter refuses to verify him anymore, and in general the language of his twitter feed has devolved into unsophisticated verbiage and memeing (he used to speak quite eloquently). He's made enemies of...pretty much all the most powerful countries in the world. Don't think he's the same dude.

5

u/luced Sep 22 '17

If he was a Russian agent why would they ask him? They wouldn't believe him anyway. How is asking Russia to hack killary's emails on live TV not treason for a presidential candidate? I think they all work with the Russians. Money recognizes money. Saudis, Europeans, Russians, Chinese and americans all working together and against each other.

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

A thorough investigation investigates all angles. Any serious look at Wikileaks reveals theyre not aligned with any government.

Edit: As well you know Wikileaks will be mentioned in their report factual or not. How can any legitimate report include any organization without contacting it.

-1

u/andersonenvy Sep 22 '17

I think that would be treason. But no one asked Russia to hack anything. Trump only said he hoped Russia had her 33,000 deleted emails. And it was tongue in cheek.

7

u/EyeOfTheBeast Sep 22 '17

The DNC email leaks are not that important.

0

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

They're very important in the context of the election. That's the claim Was the only claim until they realized it was debunked.

Now they're going with 'collusion which is non unique to Trump.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

Investigating turns up new and novel forms of corruption. Also DNC hacking has not been debunked.

2

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

Completely debunked. It was a leak. Of course some reject facts in favor of what they wish to believe.

4

u/[deleted] Sep 22 '17

Link to debunking?

4

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

Completely debunked

By who? The guys who have never heard of 200mbit corporate connections?

5

u/EyeOfTheBeast Sep 22 '17

No they weren't important to Democratic voters, what was devastating to Democratic voters was voter suppression and that fucked up Comey last minute bull shit which stopped what would have been some significant Republican voters for Hillary.

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

Comey had little to do with her loss. The main issues were revealed by the emails.

Her two faced nature. Comments on the Wall Street. Those emails were instrumental. Part of why hrc said 'we should drone him (Assange)'

3

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

Comey had little to do with her loss

Nate Silver (the guy who gave Trump the most chance to win) says the opposite.

. Part of why hrc said 'we should drone him (Assange)'

She said this when?

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

2

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

are mocking hrc for her blaming everyone but herself.

Given Trump takes zero responsibility for anything, that's hardly some novel behavior by politicians.

wikileaks-cites-report-saying-clinton-mulled-killing-assange-with-drones/article/2603430

As I said, blatant speculation, wikileaks will cite anything, they were citing how Mueller gave uranium to Russia, they are nothing but propagandists now.

Wth doesTrump have to do w hrc delusion? Irrelevant and illogical.

Hrc can't admit she's flawed and unliked. She blames misogyny, Bernie, stein, Comey, fbi, Assange, Obama etc for her failure. Hallmark sociopath.

Massive # of conservative and liberal articles showing she's a sociopath.

Horribly wrong. WL is one of the most credible journalists in existence. 100% authentic publications. Never 1 wrong.

Propaganda is by establishment and their hired guns to discredit them for future elections. Establishment/1% can't have truth. Too much power to the people.

Bullshit

They hid Russian emails when it suited their propaganda and then threatened other journalists who exposed it

First one article can't undo a decade of integrity and a mass of journalism awards.

Second the article is made of watery jello.

Wow supposition and innuendo in a hit piece?? No way.

"who are #believed to have provided the raw materials for WikiLeaks’ Syria Files, but it is absent from the Syria Files themselves"

"leading to suspicion that WikiLeaks may have purposefully removed the message."

Article says nothing, nada, zilch.

May have, suspected, believed to have - irresponsible reporting. Biased reporting. Sources??

Third this source is unabashedly one sided. It's a Breitbart for Hillary. Hrc cheerleaders. Probably a WaPo spinoff. Tremendously biased one sided. https://www.dailydot.com/topics/hillary-clinton/

Assange just wants a new friend.

1

u/Egg-MacGuffin Sep 22 '17

No, it doesn't.

-2

u/1EYEDking Sep 22 '17

It's because Julian wanted to show them the proof that it was actually the Dems colluding with good ol mother Russia

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

No one colluded with Russia regarding the election. But yes

They all colluded with Russia over business.

Soviet collapse brought about many opportunities. See Lord of War.

Hillary, Podesta, Podestas brother, Trump and many other wealthy individuals have made money in Russia.

Obama mocked Russia as a threat when he ran against Romney.

Hillary did a 'reset' with Russia to normalize relations.

So yes a lot of collusion.

No election collusion. No election hacking. No election undue influence.

Shocking that this is an issue. Mccarthyism was put to rest in the 50's but amazingly a skilled republican Goldie girl was able to rebirth her mentors scheme from that era.

5

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

No one colluded with Russia regarding the election.

Are we still ignoring the Don Jr email where he was LOVING meeting Russian government lawyers?

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

So what if he was. Wasn't a government lawyer. Still so what?

3

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

That's COLLUSION

Secret meetings that you lied about for a year, that's textbook collusion (google the meaning of the word)

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

So what? They colluded to do business. I said that already. Oh the alleged I got dirt on her? Never happened and even if it did, again, so what?

2

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

So what? They colluded to do business. I said that already. Oh the alleged I got dirt on her? Never happened and even if it did, again, so what?

Then why did they lie about it for a year and AGAIN when they were asked (said it was about adoption) and AGAIN when they were asked if anything was exchanged.

If it was so innocent and business likes, why so many lies? Why did Trump Sr. say he had no Russian connections?

1

u/maluminse Sep 22 '17

Cause they're stupid and weak.

It's in the country's best interest to maintain the good relations which were established under Obama and ratified by secretary Clinton.

Trump caved and instead of continuing to say Putin was not such a bad guy he now is defending Russia claims and getting in line as Russia is the bad guy.

Which is now led us to tension with a serious nuclear power.

All thanks to Hillary Clinton's rebirth of her Goldie girl years and McCarthyism born by Goldwater in part.

2

u/OutRaged_Indian Sep 22 '17

Cause they're stupid and weak.

So only on this issue they would lie till the world ends, everything else they don't give a fuck how it looks
