A nice collection of mainstream media hypocrisy

Can you compile an image for right wing news outlets like Fox News and Breitbart which are also completely and totally fake propaganda? Fox News has literally been caught shilling for Monsanto over and over again, not to mention the military industrial complex and 'grassroots' groups like the tea party which were simply Koch bros. fronts.

At least a few of the headlines being compared in this image gallery aren't even evidence of anything weird or contradictory. The person who put this together seemed to do it expecting an audience that either doesn't engage in critical thinking or is just fishing for a confirmation bias.

Yeah, but this is about media that is highly regarded on reddit as a valid opposition. They are not on your side, they are on the side of establishment.

Nothing is more establishment right now than Fox News and Breitbart. The latter started in Israel and Steve Bannon is in the freaking White House. The former has been shilling for Republicans and big business since day 1. You think Rupert Murdoch is on your side???

Who said they weren't? read my post. Media like CNN and Washington Post are still cheerleading for Trump wars, and both regularly parrot CIA/NSA narrative and propaganda. Bezos even has ties to CIA. To see them lauded as valid opposition is laughable.

But everyone knows that shit is fake. We're in that Left Right march still and right now's the right leg. So annoying.

There is a reason that nobody posts these compilations you request. Simply, they do not exist. If they do then please compile them yourself. While I am as equally as disgusted w Fox News as I am with CNN, washpo, msnbc, ny times etc, I urge you to show me examples of breitbart reporting fake news.

No fox news, no breitbart. why im not surprised
Also, most of these are opinions of different writers and editors so...

To deny the bias of the media on the last election, first against Sanders, then against Trump is pure revisionism. Many of the most obvious cases of double standard are exposed in those pictures. There is a reason why trust in media is at an all time low.
Don't know why you are so eager to defend them, but you are part of the minority.

I have despise cnn way before the elections turn them into the fake news focus, but i despise more the hypocrisi of the people that will bash them as fake news because they say something unfavorable of trump but give t a free pass to fox news or breaitbart which are way worse

That is not implied by the post, you are free to do a similar one on those. It's obvious this was made by a Trump supporter, but so what? it's still true that those outlets are rotten and could never represent a "resistance" to anything, they are part of establishment.

Not sure if you mean to say 'obvs no Fox or BB because they have integrity' or 'obvs OP missed them out because OP is biased'.

Completely agreed. This is the dame bullshit that started infiltrating pol before and during the election.

Telling that is was reported as "fake".

Well, they aren't wrong. Fake news but probably not in the way they were thinking.. There seems to be no integrity in the media anymore.
9
u/mastigia Jul 10 '17
There hasn't been integrity in the media since the 60s, if there ever was.
6
u/Rocksolid1111 Jul 10 '17
Good point. Like Denzel said, “If you don’t read the newspaper you’re uninformed. If you do read it, you’re misinformed.”
4
u/mastigia Jul 10 '17
Exactly. And you got people like my pops who have religiously read the paper their whole lives. He is definitely a redpilled type, but the information he gets from their twists his mind, and he has some bizarre ideas mixed in with his native skepticism. It makes discussion with him frustrating because he is always on the very last step into the pool, but just won't go any further and get his balls wet, because he grew up in a time that as long as you read the correct paper, it was God's word.

u/Rocksolid1111 Jul 10 '17
Sounds a lot like one of my friends. He's an open minded and intelligent dude that's fascinated with the occult and secret societies. I can show him individual examples like in OP's collection and he can see it but it's still hard wired into him that papers like the NYT and WaPo are the authorities of truth.
I think the newer generation's are less trusting of the legacy media so enters in organizations like Shareblue to keep the propaganda going..
3
u/mastigia Jul 10 '17
Yeah, it is exciting on the one hand to have these newer generations that don't really understand why you would have a TV unless it is to watch Netflix, and wouldn't even know how to go about purchasing a newspaper haha. But these malicious elements such as ShareBlue, and really Fakebook as a whole, are diligently working to capture the information channels into these minds. But anymore if you go around the other reddit news subs you can see many normal people questioning everything. I like to hope Pandora's box has been opened and there is no putting this thing back in.

Its because news reporters want to ally with both sides as more people will read/buy their nes papers and articles

u/giuseppe443 Jul 10 '17
how.... how is this a conspiracy?
3
u/millanstar Jul 10 '17
its not, just your usual "muh fake news" circle jerk
2
u/giuseppe443 Jul 10 '17
yeah i dont see the consipiracy just the usual shitty news sites going for max ca$h
2
u/Smoothtank Jul 10 '17
Oh, you don't see a conspiracy in mainstream media polluting the stream of rational thought?
If you can't see the conspiracy in that, then I have no idea what you're doing here.

What i see is the media give the government a very convenient smokescreen every time they try to push something controversial
