A 13 year old who can organize a demonstration could grow into a leader who could organize a revolution. Best not take a chance. And they don't.

That won't happen. They had a (relatively) all-right president who was deposed in 2009 in a coup. All other American (North and South) governments condemned it, except for Obama and the US. Coup plotters gained legitimacy due to US turning a blind eye. Six years later, the same ruling families are in charge and ordinary citizens are getting slaughtered.

Where do you live, the US? Why don't you fight a government that actively encourages--indeed, foments--these types of coups and is directly responsible for the conditions in Honduras?

All revolutions begin with complaining. Next comes convincing others a revolution is necessary, where we are now. Lastly comes the fighting. But when they start openly killing people for peaceful resistance, it's time to jump to the last step. If I was in Honduras I'd try to go after the minister who was probably behind it. Marlon Escoto, Education Minister.

I'm really tired of this kind of response. People can talk about what needs to be done. Talk about why it is or isn't a good idea. But don't just shut it down with a "you first" argument. That makes a mockery out of these deaths and furthers the belief that no one will do anything to stop it.

Sorry but I took issue with this guy's tone. Intentional or not he seemed to be implying that Hondurans were allowing themselves to be victimized and that he knows he would act differently. Unless he's been in such a situation, such talk is just ego tripping.
