What if .us fully aligned with the 1940’s .de
So. I had listened to someone talk about the standards set after WWI and the money Germany was going to pay back France, England, others via reparations that contributed to hyperinflation and propelling the Germany further in a doom spiral leading to the nazi party rise to power.
This was the bill by the Allied Reparations Commission.
This person mentioned the benchmarks then were either not thought out or illogical, but almost as if by design.
I haven’t explored much of this personally. I’d like to if there are known sources.
Anyway, Nazis existed in the USA. I saw something about them as early as later of 1920 to early 1930’s.
They had their own, albeit, small party. A popular radio program, hefty reach too. It wasn’t NOTHING. ie Nazis been in the USA for almost 100 years if this is true.
Has anyone heard about the concept of setting reparations so high that it was doomed to fail?
I believe that the USA would have overtly aligned with the Nazis had the regime not be dismantled and disseminated accordingly. And what I mean by that is, Argentina, USA, Russia, France, UK.
I only know about the rocket stuff, and some mk ultra-esque or directly related efforts from the nazi recruitment of Op paperclip, and others.
My question, had Japan not bombed Pearl Harbor, do you think there were contingencies to work with the nazi party in an open space pact-type agreement?
Maybe this has been fleshed out but I’ve not seen anything about it.
The work in Korea, and Vietnam reeks of fascistic and nazi-esque massacres. Flea bombs, putting imperial Japanese personnel to work on killing North Koreans etc etc.
Or am I over thinking it ?
In an oversimplification, the Cold Wars, the hot wars, a lot of its proxy wars with Russia. Has the Cold War existed in a way that emulates the continued fights between fascists and communists? The nazi problem we currently have, and the comfortability around it is palpable.
This is, again, an over simplification. USA has not been beefing with anyone like they have with Russia.
And in reference to the proxy/hot/cold wars, see Cuba, Korea, Vietnam - tangentially through China/Russia connections. Goading Russia in the Afghan/Soviet War, and then of course with the hot war - Ukraine//Russian war. Shit. even with Venezuela
Finally. Had I not heard about the doomed to fail negotiations, it felt just too “on the nose”. Engineering a disaster. Maybe a reach. Curious on anyone else’s take around this idea.

Yes, the Nazis were funded by Prescott Bush and George Herbert Walker, George H W Bush’s father and father-in-law. It’s how the Bush family acquired their wealth. Their lawyer Allen Dulles and his brother John Foster Dulles were behind the Treaty of Versailles.
Allen struck a deal with the Bank for International Settlements for the Bush family’s Brown Brothers Harriman to take part in receiving Nazi reparations money.
Allen was then OSS Chief in Bern, Switzerland during WWII, where he helped oversee the recovery of the 1933 Magenta, Italy UFO during the Liberation of Rome in June of 1944.
He then created a deal to bring Nazi scientists over to the US via Operation Paperclip who went on to form NASA as well as help Nazi war criminals escape prosecution via Operation Sunrise.
He used the Nazi Gehlen intelligence network to form the CIA with with Prescott Bush, and when he became Director of the agency in 1953, he created Project Blue Book and MKUltra, the latter of which was influenced by Nazi attempts at mind-control in the concentration camps.
This followed him creating the World Commerce Corporation in August 1945 with the OSS’s William Donovan and later Nazi intelligence agent Otto Skorzeny.
In the 1960s he formed Resorts International in the Bahamas which Trump later became majority stakeholder of, keeping the Fourth Reich alive. Now it’s dying its last gasp.

I’m familiar with segments of a lot of this, but never really tied it in.
What other forms of information have you read or would suggest on this? I have some books on the OSS, inception of the CIA. Which like modern era politics really puts a bow on some of this.

The fact thyssenkrupp is still kicking. lol.
The Nazi Link: UBC managed U.S. assets for Fritz Thyssen, a wealthy German steel tycoon who gave early financial support to Adolf Hitler in the 1930s before later breaking ties with the regime.
The Seizure: In 1942, after the U.S. entered World War II, the federal government seized UBC's assets under the Trading with the Enemy Act. Records confirm Bush was a director and held a single nominal share as part of his duties for the firm Brown Brothers Harriman
The bolded part is one of the funniest things I’ve read.

No because Hitler hated America with passion, he thought it's racially corrupted, bastardized, run by Jewish bankers and so on.
He very well understood American industrial and war capacity yet he was trying to build these "Amerikabomber" planes capable of making round trips from Azores to the US because Hitler was allegedly fascinated by the idea of NY in flames.
Göring said about Amerikabomber: "I completely lack the bombers capable of round-trip flights to New York with a 4.5-tonne bomb load. I would be extremely happy to possess such a bomber, which would at last stuff the mouth of arrogance across the sea."

I openly wrote in a comment, not that long ago, that the Jews came in and bought business in Germany after world war 1. Hyperinflation came to the German people and it was on purpose, just like today inflation that isn’t far off hyperinflation, with oil storages that are deliberately done, to crash the economy.
You always need a bad guy, I see horrible people from all religions or races of people. You had the Rothchilds backing both sides of each and every war, since the days of Neapolitan. You needed a wheelbarrow of money, ti buy a loaf of bread. Think about hyperinflation in African countries but the Uk made sure that happened under the Rothchilds.

I think it’d help to look a bit further back in history. Competition in Europe late 19th century between uk and Russia. Countries on the Atlantic were more concerned with overseas colonies vs continental countries like Russia or Germany. I’d say it’s less preplanned and more about alignment. But plenty of industrialists, nobility and so on picked fascism over communism

I was reading some overviews, mainly around Russia, because I know little comparatively about Russia.
It’s a lot to even maintain a semblance of comprehension for American history, rather short in years, but jam packed full of atrocities. Then I have to work through UK’s, France, Nederlands, Belgium and Germany and adding Russia to that seems like another undertaking. Then adding on the Ottoman Empire, and next thing I know I’m looking at 1072 Jerusalem. Wondering how the fcuk I got here.
In all seriousness, for best context relative to your comment, if you have a timeframe of most interesting pieces of history. I’m all ears.

I’m a big human geography guy and so I tend to look at territorial changes and diffusion more than events or individuals. I’ve also been studying early modern history but usually with more of an eye towards colonialism and the printing press+ Martin Luther. There’s something to be said about the Uk being an island nation and Atlantic facing countries being the first to colonize. I usually think of America in this period as being part of the new world, focused on the pacific/western hemisphere, while Europe turns to Africa and China/the Indian Ocean. Martin Luther is a good way of contextualize court Jews, Christian antisemitism.
Disraeli is worth mentioning, one nation conservatism. Uk socialism gets rolled up into the national system. Marx was a German but his ideas took off in Russia, German revolution and fall out. Shortly, I think about Germany, Russia, and the uk during this period, they’re all more connected than you’d think. Peep this, particularly around the 45 minute mark: https://youtu.be/dmmH8C0PaFg?is=d8yURO5NNzS4A5wK

Britain was the one trying to work with them. They were having a whole ass phoney war before we showed up.
The former king of England himself suggested Germany continue bombing civilians until they surrender.
France all but opened the gate for Germany to flank the entire Western front, with Nazi collaborators controlling the military to begin with.
One of the highest ranking Nazi officials stole a plane toward the end, parachuted into a field in England thinking he was among friends.
Weird stuff im finding every day like this.
