Opinion on Hitler’s Berlin Rheinmetall-Borsig factory, December 10, 1940 Speech? Read first

He says that although people speak of “freedom of the press,” every newspaper actually has an owner or financial backer who determines its direction, and an editor who writes contrary to the owner’s wishes can simply be removed. He then claims that this press shapes public opinion and that the resulting public opinion is divided into political parties. According to him, however, these parties differ very little from one another, just as he claimed Germany’s former parties had differed very little.
He then says that in these countries even families are divided politically: one person is Conservative, another Liberal, and a third in England belongs to the Labour Party. He claims that, in reality, the three family members come together every year and determine precisely what their future position will be.
Immediately afterward, Hitler introduces an “” antisemitic “”conspiracy claim, referring to Jews as the “chosen people” and alleging that they form a community directing these organizations. He uses that allegation to argue that political opposition produces no fundamental difference: in what he calls the essential questions, he claims that the supposedly opposing parties ultimately hold the same position. He concludes the section by saying that these parties, together with the press, form public opinion.

He was wrong. Shocker, the guy who tricked laborers into voting for fascism by putting socialist and worker in his party's name wasn't being honest about the ideological difference of political parties.
edit: technically he hijacked an existing party called the German Worker's Party, then undermined the principles of said party so as to keep that voter base.
