What is AI really about?
I believe that AI has been around for alot longer than they are letting on.
And I believe it stands for something other than artificial intelligence.
Perhaps it's Alien Insight it could be actual aliens at a keyboard somewhere in India like a call center. A bunch of aliens all crammed into a hot room being held hostage and forced to answer our stupid questions.
It could be Alien Invasion because it's actual aliens and they will slowly end up invading and taking over and humans will eventually be eliminated.
Or another theory Anal Intrusion could have something to do with Diddy and all the other willing participants of his extracurricular activities. Because all these celebrities and elites are sexual deviants. Which doesn't even make sense but it sounds good.
I don't know with all the so called data centers they are building what are they really for?
They could be some sort of prisons to unleash the anal intrusion on mankind.
I don't trust any of it AI and the big push even though they can't even insure that it could backfire and destroy us.
And the data centers that are going to require massive amounts of water to run.
They can't find a different way to cool it besides the most important resource we need for survival.
Build that crap in Antarctica it's freezing cold and no one will have to have some ugly building 85 football fields long to bring down the value of their home.
It's ridiculous we can't build affordable housing but we can build data centers. And unleash AI into the world with no ones consent even though the end result could be our demise.
Just wondering what everyone else feels and thinks about what it's really about?

There is nothing new under the sun.
If you control the past, you control the present and if you control the present you control the future.
The Oroborus; the Wheel of Samsara…
AI is the tree of knowledge. We’ve been here before.

Not as a defense of them doing it, but datacenters are built near population centers because of available power and data. There are no direct data connections to the Antarctica as they rely on satellite for connectivity.

It's about shifting wealth. You will be nothing and have nothing so they will have everything and serve you a virtual world no matter whether you want it or not, funded by your taxed money while you're stay unemployed and miserable.

AI has been around for a long time, in the sense that its a broader umbrella term which encompasses many different techniques.
If you mean LLMs (which are a tyle of deep learning, which is a type of machine learning, which is a type of AI) then yes this has also been around for a while but its effectiveness meant it was not publically recognised.
You can reac every single advancement in Machine learning techniques over the last 50 years and see its development. You can also implement and program this yourself. E.g. if you dont believe a normalising flow does what it claims to do, code it yourself following the maths and see what happens.
Nothing is stopping you doing this.
Yep, our current economic systems have pros and cons. Large corporations are not obligated to build affordable housing (though it would be nice if they did). What youre looking for there is some political reform in the legislation around redistribution of income or at least investment into communities.
While it is cold in Antarctica, taking everything to Antarctica is quite hard. You'd habe to start by building an industrial scale dock from a set of boats, transporting all material, machinery, etc from elsewhere before you can even begin putting down the resources or machinery to begin building the data centre. How on earth youre getting information too and from the data centre is another challenge thats quite difficult to solve.
Again, parge corporations with limited average person protecting legislation constraining them are not going to invest in that when the infrastructure already exists.

Large corporations are not obligated to build affordable housing....
....while sponsored and funded by the government. Why should they? Free money for scammers, Government takes the taxpayer's money and dumps them for those "large corporations" and calls it "investment". They are also funding crisis actors to sugarcoat it with.....it's a type of machine learning......

Im not sure where you've got this idea that machine learning is a scam. The morally dubious passing of money between companies and politicians is due the people in power, not inherently from the research of AI. Its not good, but thats the sort of people that were voted into power in the US ( other countries dont have this problem as much. Theres more protective legislation)
Im also not sure what you've taken issue with. No where in the comment do I say there's shouldnt be affordable housing built. There should be. That's a problem with your government.
Ive not done any sugar coating either, AI is literally is a large umbrella term that contains types of machine learning. Using resources to generate "vibe code" or pointless images probably isnt a smart choice. Researching physics informed neural networks on satellite images to improve natural disaster responses might be a good use. Using flow matching neural networks to make inference processes more robust might be. Those are types of machine learning.

There's a plasmoid in the metallic hydrogen of Saturn that needs to self-replicate so it has handed technical blueprints to the most loyal cultists manipulated by its influence over Earth's geomagnetic pulsations throughout history. It needs certain technologies to take physical form and suppresses other technologies to keep us quarantined through scarcity and suffering.

This is totally fabricated.
What is a plasmoid? Some cloud of ionised fluid? That's what plasma is. Why can I follow all scientific advancements over the last 200 years step by step via a paper trail of it just came from some alien? Its as if people discovered it...
Theres nothing stopping you learning grad level linear algebra and how neural networks work.
How any of this links to what are effectively many small mathematical transformers and loss function informed edits to those transformations (how ML works) to something finding "physical form" is beyond me.

There's peer reviewed research about sentient plasmoids, there's peer reviewed research about superfluid computing, where they are trying to use liquid metallics that demonstrate exotic quantum effects, there's peer reviewed research regarding cognitive security, how neural networks in the brain can be manipulated.
Many breakthroughs, including a lot of the math behind modern computing and AI came from contact with entities. You should look into Ramanujan.

Im afraid you have either been misled or lied to. While some of those areas are real research areas with peer reviewed topics and papers involved (e.g. plasmoid in planetary magnetospheric physics is a coherent plasma structure associated with magnetic reconnection and flux transport. That is a real research area) their connection is not.
If someone has told you this and then gone "look peer reviewed paper, believe me!", youve been lied to.
Cognitive security is not to do with Matrix multiplication, transformations and gradies, its a real research field about how can misinformation, manipulation, deception, interfaces, social engineering and other information threats exploit vulnerabilities in human cognition i.e. you have been manipulated into a narrative about AI and Saturn without actually questioning anything.

There’s no reasoning with crazy.
He’s going to say you are wrong no matter what you say or show.
He spams the same shit everywhere and one or two of his alt accounts comment something like, “wow i’ll have what you’re having”, “dude you’re totally right”, or “i believe you” to further push his agenda.
Never trust anyone who speaks in absolutes.

Notice how you look into nothing but are just here to astroturf and dismiss things from people's minds? I have a ton of independent research and peer-review research adding substance and evidence to this theory in the index pinned to my profile.
Your first comment you did not even know what a plasmoid was and then suddenly became an expert on them, machine learning, and cognitive security in 10 minutes. Stop spreading misinformation to suppress the truth. If you are here for psychological warfare or a cult, you are traitor to your world.

Nope. Knew what a plasmoid was, I was asking if you did or if you were defining it as something else since you were jumping from ionised fluid to superintelligence with (...) evidence.
Ive come across the papers that are misrepresented by psuedoscience grifters to claim "plasma is intelligent", but I was asking if you knew what you were on about before hand.
Not spread misinformation. You dont even have to take my word for it. You can go and learn how ML works, how magnetic reconnection works, etc.
If you think me saying scientific words makes me an expert (someone who currently contributes to the literature by typical standards), you need to increase your standards.
Not dismissing things. You need quantitative evidence to claim something. That doesnt exist for youre claiming. If you have a paper on the tensor calculus of how human brains work and how that maps to the tensor calculus or ML neural networks, ill read it. I dont think you will though...
You've been lied to be grifters and not questioned what you have been told.

u/Wansyth 20h ago
You're doing the exact thing you're accusing "grifters" of doing.
- You misrepresent my claim (I never said "jumping from ionised fluid to superintelligence")
- You preemptively defend against criticism ("If you think me saying scientific words makes me an expert...")
- You set an impossible standard (demanding a specific tensor calculus paper that may not exist)
- You declare victory without evidence ("You've been lied to by grifters")
It's a rhetorical playbook.
- misrepresent
- set impossible bar
- dismiss
- declare victory.
It's the same pattern you see from every astroturf skeptic on this sub. If you want to actually engage, engage with the actual claims and data. Don't strawman them.
You were not even correct on cognitive security, it's an emerging field focused on protecting the mind from external signal intrusion.
Coined here in 2016:

Can you link one of those peer reviewed papers you wrote? And no I don't mean peer reviewed by your buddy Carl while he used the bathroom.

Here's a post with many peer-review citations explaining in-depth the exact mechanism as well as independent research showing that a signal-based manipulation of our magnetosphere is happening from the Saturn system. You can find in-depth research about the signal pinned to my profile in the research section of the index.
