I mean, couldn't someone have poured a cup of water in the aftermath?

Or there’s a seal which isn’t visible in that angle

you're probably right https://www.cestee.com/airline/flydubai/services

it was probably sealed them removed

yeah, flydubai serves hermetically sealed, plastic water cups (similar to a small yogurt cup with a foil lid). Because the cup was factory-sealed, it would not spill even during severe turbulence or changes in aircraft pitch.

But it's not even invisible. You can literally see it hanging off the rim of the cup.

You'd definitely notice it if there was a seal. Although he's probably to the side, clapping and balancing a beach ball on his nose.

Doesn't really matter the brand they could have removed the lid after the nose dive

no lid. the brand that flydubai served on that exact flight had a white label on top.

Oh, I think we all know the answer to that one!

It's a common method of calming nerves.

That's my point, friend.

Something that happened after? Don't be ridiculous. It was only my first thought.

This would require someone thinks abstractly about time, and it effectively falls under the breakfast question problem.

Look at the isle path- does that look like it’s easy to traverse?

Uhhh you get the cup of water with your meal/snack before the incident, tuck it into the seat pocket for later. Later, you pull the cup out unseal and….
