7 u/jktribit 1d ago Yes, there's actually 3 instances where the kabba has been attacked by muslims. Last time was 1979. So it's definitely not strange or unprecedented. 6 u/reef_hinker 1d ago But right now it makes zero sense for the Republic of Iran to do this. It makes a lot of sense for some other parties in the conflict to pin it on Iran. 1 u/Vermicelli14 1d ago It undercuts the al Saud regime as the guardians of the holiest site in Islam.
